Staying at this heritage Grand Hotel D'Europe in Puducherry was an absolute treat! Steeped in history since 1891, the property exudes an old-world charm, and knowing that Mira Ma once stayed here adds to its significance. We booked the Grand King Room, which was incredibly spacious—about 450 sq. ft.—with a well-appointed dress area and a large, beautifully designed washroom. The room featured quaint yet comfortable furniture, with meticulous woodwork and vintage touches, including an elegant old-fashioned fan. The detailing on the doors was exquisite, leading out to a large verandah furnished with a charming chair, perfect for unwinding. The ambiance of the Grand Hotel D'Europe is soothing, calming, and peaceful, offering a perfect retreat from the city’s bustle. The small but pristine swimming pool adds to the charm, making it an ideal spot to relax. A special mention to the hospitality of the staff, starting with GM Mr. Rajesh and his wonderful team—their warmth and attentiveness made our stay even more enjoyable. The Grand Hotel D'Europe’s restaurant, Mira, is immensely popular for all the right reasons. It boasts excellent reviews, and we were delighted by the variety of unique and exquisite food preparations they offer. Overall, our experience was nothing short of fantastic. If you’re looking for a heritage stay with comfort, character, and exceptional hospitality, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

It’s a boutique Grand Hotel D'Europe with all the basic amenities. Amazing staff members, and great hospitality shown. They do take care of each and every aspect. Positive - Very well maintained , neat and clean. Dining area is equipped with basic facilities and bar counter. It’s open for people from Grand Hotel D'Europe and outside. Good pool area for guests. Hotel does provide parking area besides the road. Rooms are big, well maintained with all amenities that a family can expect. Location of this property is very close / at walking distance from the beach. Food quality and taste is very good. Do appreciate the special request catered by the head chef. Negative - There is no open area / garden or lawn. Not any engagement options for kids. Breakfast buffet has very limited options and main course is predominantly focussed on Italian Non-veg menu. However as we had kids with us and they wanted few things which Chef did assist with on our request. Overall you will like it, but it is definitely not a luxury property as mentioned by MMT

A nice and relaxed 18 room boutique Grand Hotel D'Europe. The rooms are heritage, neat, clean and comfortable. The pool is small but a delight. Location is good. No sea view but close to the promenade in french town. Lovely room toiletries. Limited parking, only in front of the Grand Hotel D'Europe. Polite service with a smile but can be quite clueless and minimal. Wish they had a query desk or someone who can give accurate tourist advice. Was given guidance for visit to auroville, but on reaching found it was closed. Thus a day wasted. A la cart e food is competent and at times, a nice fusion. Buffet breakfast is quite a spread but not high quality. The Grand Hotel D'Europe does not have a bakery and it shows. The coffee is instant, but there are lots of local fruits. All in all, a nice botique Grand Hotel D'Europe, with lovely rooms / location. Don't expect star service or a complete tourist experience, and you'll have a relaxed & comfortable stay.

The Grand Hotel D'Europe is very beautiful aesthetic and location per say. such cute paintings all around the property. the staff was helping all throughout the stay and helped us with the needful. pricing slightly on the higher side but overall a really good stay at this place. highlight of the place would be the central location from all the major attractions in the town:)

Better experience than taj. The room is exquisite, minimalist yet royal. The aura of the place is calm and vibrant. Location wise this heritage property is perfect. Important sites are at a distance of 10 minutes by walk. The general manager mr rajesh who attended us was very kind. The stay was completely worth it. Thank you for the kind hospitality.

We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The room was very beautiful with that heritage touch I was looking for. The staffs were very friendly. The location is really great. It is near the beach and all the attractions in pondicherry. The delicious food was the cherry on the top. Especially the pasta.

At Grand Hotel D Europe, the Food was out of the world, especially the continental/French cuisine. Chef deserves a pat on the back. Location is excellent . Room was very big and comfortable. Cooling because of 2 AC’s was excellent. 👌🏽

The experience was great, especially because of the good food. The room was very spacious and beautiful with a heritage vibe.

Amazing place to stay. All major places to visit are within 5km range. One major drawback was car parking issue but got to know that they are going to have dedicated parking space soon. But overall good services.

This Grand Hotel D'Europe is in the perfect location in White Town. So many good eating spots around it and of course the beach is only 5mins away. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms are really nice and clean.

the room was excellent along with extremely cordial service. We had a small accident and needed a repair work for the car. the staff assisted so much that we hadn't had to face any issue. Food was excellent

One of the best Grand Hotel D'Europe in pondicherry, close to the beach. Rooms are very spacious and luxury. Restaurant provides you delicious food. Do not miss their pizza as they make one of the best pizza in the town. Staff is very cooperative.
