A mixed experience. Postives: beautiful aesthetics, conveniently located. Negatives: four of us booked two out of two rooms on the floor that is on rent for a girl's night, with the idea that we will have the whole place to ourselves. We booked, where there were only two booking options - for individual rooms (classic or heritage, or for both rooms together. Logically the latter should also earn you not just access but privacy privilege to the lobby area, which is really a small passageway leading you to the rooms in question. Note that there's no way into the rooms but through this space, and this is all on the same floor. Still at multiple points through the stay out privacy was violated as two different cartakers (malr and female) kept barging in unannounced, without so much as a knock. And i'm not talking at check-in and check-out hours. This happened in the afternoon, in the evening, early morning - we even found the floor's main doors ajar (which we had definitely shut, but not locked - as the one time we locked them the lady caretaker almost banged it down) at dawn, suggesting someone probably opened the doors while we were asleep! one of the times one of our friends was changing with the room doors open (as it is an girls scene and we were not expecting outsiders to randomly keep popping in) and had to dash in to avoid an embarrassing moment. When this issue was raised with the manager, he initially tried to justify saying the lobby is a shared space (which is bizarre, given how essential a path to the rooms this small stretch is, and that renting the whole space is a different cost, and a different listing. I only pointed out that common area or not, there should be a system of knocking or prior announcement between the guests and the house helps, and it cannot be such frequent check ins either. He did apologise for the inconvenience at this point, and said that we should have informed him earlier. We wish we had, although this is a pretty basic expectation. It took us a while to figure out what was happening, and because we were there for a celebration, we kept brushing it off until we simply couldn't. Overall, nicely curated place, with much room for improvement when it comes to service.
