Relaxing stay with family at Oot
Our stay at Willow Hill was exceptional. We booked Walnut and Fir rooms for our family. To begin with the rooms were immaculately clean and well maintained with every amenity you would need. The location is very accessible from Ooty town center and yet just remote enough that we felt serene and relaxed. Special kudos to the staff who were caring and polite and we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. The food, both in terms of quality and spread / selection was excellent. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast on both days and all the different preferences of our family members were accommodated very well. We definitely look forward to staying here every time we visit Ooty.

Willow hill is one of the best place to stay while in Ooty. Its location is quite serene and the cozy rooms is icing on the cake. Food is delicious especially Nilgiri veg and non veg dish.

Quiet and comfortable stay
The room was spacious for two person and a kid. Food was very good but limited selection. Rooms and bathroom was clean. Staffs are well behaved. Inroom dining is available. The property is located near to main town and ease of access. Good stay for the price.

Not a good exp
I had reserved 2 rooms for 1 day. While navigating to our place of stay, we were lost. Even the GPS was not giving clear directions. When i called the property manager for help, he did not answer the call. So we had to use the help of the locals for navigation. Upon arrival, the property manager blamed makemytrip for not sharing customer details. It was raining. I was not offered an umbrella. The rooms were neat and tidy. Bathroom is clean. They have old dialer phones, which dont work. Either i had to call them over cellular network or go outside and call for room service. Again when you call the day shift manager, he does not answer the call. I had to store medicines and fruits in the fridge. Found out that the fridge does not work. So i had to use the common fridge. Night shift manager was a god sent. He was very helpful. I have a 2 year old. He helped in communicating with the kitchen and getting customised food for him. I am a South Indian. The cuisine was limited, but the taste was excellent. There was no heater in the room. Upon request, i got one. It seems its a common practice over there.

hidden gem
This is a hidden gem of a resort. In our trip, we stayed here and a five star property and compared to the five star property which costed us almost double than this one, we felt Willow Hill was much more value for money. The view from our rooms and the restaurant was very relaxing. The rooms were very neat and well maintained and the food in the restaurant seemed like it was carefully prepared. We also had dinner here which took a bit of time to prepare, but in the end, it was prepared exactly to our specification. The breakfast buffet spread was not too extensive, but all the items were tasty and I like the idea of Idly and Vada to be made to order because then we got it hot and fresh. They have a bonfire and bird watching activity. We didn’t go for the bonfire, but the birdwatching was nice and peaceful.

Relaxing experience at Williow Hills
We were at the property for three days. Their hospitality was vey good. The staff were very polite and welcomed us warmly on arrival. The food, most part, was good. Though a bit outside the main town area however for people who wanna simply relax it will be a good place for it as it’s quite peaceful location. The one thing that needs to be looked into is the street light. Driving to or from the resort in the evening hours is quite risky as it becomes too dark to navigate the hills. Overall it was a good experience.
