Kelso House of Ooty

Our stay at The Kelso House was an absolute delight. The entire property was picture-perfect, offering a serene and peaceful ambiance. Every corner, from the rooms to the well-manicured lawns, exuded charm and tranquility. The attention to detail in maintaining the property was commendable, making it a truly relaxing getaway. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, adding a personal touch to the experience and making us feel right at home. The breakfast options were good, but the à la carte menu could use some improvement, especially considering the price point. While the overall food experience was decent, the flavors could be enhanced. Overall, The Kelso House is a fantastic retreat in Ooty, perfect for those looking to unwind in a beautifully maintained space with a homely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it for its ambiance, hospitality, and peaceful surroundings!

We stayed at Kelso for 3 nights in last week of April 2025. The entire experience was excellent. Extremely well maintained clean, calm, serene property. Nice staff, and very welcoming customer centric attitude. If you are looking for a place which is not very loud and crowded, a place to truly relax, this is it! The property has a nice European elegance all through it's ambience and decor. Rest assured you would feel cozy in this small but beautifully maintained property.

Kelso house Ooty was a beautiful homestay, newly renovated. The detail to interiors was so good, we stayed in Gold rooms and they were so elegant. The housekeeping team does a great job in cleaning the entire property everyday and the reception team was great too, they were very helpful in answering our questions and helping us out. Breakfast was also very good with multiple options and taste was also very nice. Would definitely visit again and suggest to others

everything that u see in images Is very little tk describe the enchanting aura this place carries. The rooms were very well maintained and spacious. The lawn garden is pure magic. and the staff goes above and beyond to assist u and make you feel homely. A special mention to Shameer who went above and beyond to arrange a special dinner for our anniversary. He is a gem of a person. cannot wait to comeback again to feel this mesmerizing experience

We had an amazing experience at Kelso House! The place was very clean, and had vintage English architecture as marketed. Also had a pleasant yard -- flowers, park, swings, and whatnot. The only thing that needs improvement was the breakfast. The options were very limited, especially with relevance to English breakfast. The lack of amenities also set itself back. Overall, it was a pleasant stay! Would recommend it to family and friends..

It was one of our best stay at Ooty. It’s a unique property composed of fine tuned architecture, lush green garden with a mesmerising view, delicious food and courteous staff. All this combo made our stay absolutely comfortable. Must recommend the stay at kelso House of Ooty without giving second thought.

The best experience. The room was very beautiful. Food was very tasty too. The outer ambiance is very beautiful too. Without any doubt you can book your stay here and you will definitely love it.

Food was tasty but less options, entire property is very nicely maintained, very neat and clean, decoration is very good.. Room service was quite slow and can be improved

Excellent hospitality, well maintained 7 star level property. Location and facilities are awesome. Suggest to have a 24 hour dining service or atleast till 10 pm and room service. Also if possible minibar. Thank you. Otherwise the stay was excellent.

Ambience was excellent, hygiene was at par.. the only concern is the food timing which is limited to 9:00 in the night which is bit difffixukt specially if you travelling with a kid.. otherwise overall experience was excellent

It was a pleasant experience for us on one of the famous vintage property in Ooty . Their hospitality was good and property has very asthetic and beautiful view . Garden and villa is well maintained. Food was average and food quality should be improve specially on breakfast.

It's one of the most best properties I've ever stayed in. Beautifully made and the attention for detail was impeccable. A must visit for anyone staying in Ooty. The staff, especially Sujoy was very helpful and forthcoming and they saw to it that everything was taken care of.
