Unliveable, worst stay of my life and owners are scammers. Dear Team,
I’m writing to express my deep disappointment with the experience I recently had with a hotel booking made through MakeMyTrip.
We booked a King Room with Mountain View for 3 nights (14th to 16th August) in Rishikesh via MMT.
However, upon check-in, we were given a Deluxe Room instead. The staff informed us that the King Room (located on the 4th floor) did not have Wi-Fi access, which made it impossible for us to work from the room — a key requirement for our stay.
To make matters worse, immediately after our check-in, granite cutting and renovation work began right outside the room, creating deafening noise that made the room completely unlivable. Despite our repeated requests, the hotel staff refused to stop the work, stating it could not be paused.
Given the situation, we had no choice but to leave the property. However, the property manager refused to issue a refund.
We then contacted MMT customer care, but our concerns were neither addressed nor even formally registered at the time. We are still awaiting any form of resolution or communication regarding the refund.
To add to this extremely poor experience, the room hygiene was unacceptable — with dirty linens, filthy walls, and unhygienic toilets.
