I recently stayed at Lindsay Hotel, Kolkata, and overall, it was a pleasant and budget-friendly experience.
The location is excellent, right near New Market, which made shopping super convenient. A big plus was that the hotel allowed me to keep my luggage after checkout, which really helped me explore the area without any hassle.
The staff were polite and helpful, making the stay more comfortable.
There are a few areas that could use some improvement:
Room cleanliness, especially in corners and under furniture, could be better.
There were mosquitoes in the room and bathroom, so preventive measures would be appreciated.
The room had a slight odor, which could be managed with better ventilation or air fresheners.
The bed felt a little damp, so more attention to linen dryness would improve comfort.
The portion of rice in the meals could be a bit more generous.
That said, it was good value for money, and I appreciated the convenient location and staff support. With a few small improvements, this hotel can offer an even better guest experience.
Would recommend it for budget travelers, especially those planning to shop around New Market.
