We stayed at Golden Palms Resort for a day and had a mixed experience. The property has an old architecture and is very quiet, with only a large swimming pool to enjoy. There were no activities or guidance on what to do, so it felt a bit aimless. The garden and pool view were nice, but the rooms were disappointing—there was no bathroom mat, bucket, or mug when we arrived, and we had to request them. Also, we noticed a blood stain on one of the pillows the next morning. The resort experienced frequent power cuts (6-7 times), which was frustrating for the price we paid.
The restaurant only serves vegetarian food, although we were told multiple times they offer non-veg. After some confusion, we were given a chicken curry on request, but it felt awkward. That said, the vegetarian food was delicious, and the buffet for dinner and breakfast was very good (4.5/5).
Overall, if you're looking for a peaceful, quiet stay to just relax in your room, this place could work. But for the price, it's not worth it, and I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than a brief stay.
