It's a good property for an overnight stay. Decor is consciously traditional and tasteful and essential facilities are fine. Two problems
1) Access - Google directs you through a crowded and not very salubrious market area and not through the Empire Estate that Estate Villa is named after. Through the estate it is a longer but cleaner route (apparently) - I had to put up with the market late in the evening
2) Reception - the food is home-cooked as they say and excellent, but if you are greeted by the cook, as I was, you are likely to wonder whether you have wandered into a hostel. He is a good cook but has no social graces. I was the only diner and my place was set to face the wall and not to look over what is a reasonably pleasant dining area. He was surprised when I told him I wanted to face the room, not the wall.
Also neither the TV nor the phone in the room worked when I arrived. The TV was later turned on but needed recharging. Good luck if you want to watch a cricket match, not sure they subscribe to Star Sports.
The garden is nice; a haven of peace in the small town environment apparent from the lanes that take you there.
The manager (a young lady) seems competent but perhaps not in full control or in a position to train older staff.
