I had a terrible experience right from check-in until the next day. I booked my stay through MakeMyTrip around 10 PM and reached the hotel by 11 PM. Shockingly, the hotel couldn’t find my booking and made me wait for 45 minutes before assigning me a room — something I would never expect from a reputed brand like Taj.
The trouble didn’t end there. Around 3 AM, the air conditioning in my room stopped working. Despite raising the issue, no effective action was taken. It wasn’t until 5 AM that I was finally offered a room change, which allowed me to get some rest.
As if that wasn’t enough, I was disturbed again between 12 and 1 PM by a call from the front desk claiming I was late to check out. They had no idea about the issues I’d faced during the night. I had to explain the whole situation again just to get a 30-minute checkout extension — which was honestly the least they could do after such a poor experience.
All in all, this stay was exhausting and disappointing. This is not the level of service I expect from Taj, and I will definitely not be returning.
