great stay with amazing views
the place is on the top of a hill with a great view of the city. it has a beautiful garden and an attached restaurant. the staff are quite accommodating. the restaurant food was good, but on the pricier end. the breakfast buffet was really good. the views from the mountain view rooms weren't as great as expected, but everything else about the place compensated for it. we spent a lot of time in the garden from high tea to sunset. we recommend this place

Good Heritage Hotel in Tiger Hill
Sherlock is a good heritage property.. beautiful outdoors, excellent staff, just needs to update the room interior a bit and cleanliness. And if they can add more amenities like gym, upgrade the facilities in the room ..it would be great 👍

Nice experience
Staff was very cordial specially the person at reception They were very helping .the hotel has seren cozy private atmosphere. Food was nice .location is good as any other location in ooty.

Excellent Stay
Sherlock homes has the most beautiful location, the sunrises and sunsets from here look nothing short of magical. they have 12 cottages surrounded by lush greenery. The lawn is beautifully cured, with a variety of flowers and cacti planted. Each cottage's name is inspired by the sherlock holmes stories. The hotel arranges a nature walk 3 times a week, every alternate day led by Mr J Varghese. I highly recommend it, one hour into the forest, it's super refreshing. Breakfast is complimentary, other meals a la carte, all very tasty. Veg and nonveg options available. Overall I highly recommend this place to someone looking for w heritage like stay, it's a great deal.

Excellent Stay
The property is well maintained. The ambience and the garden of this hotel takes you out of the hustle and bustle of city life. Food was excellent. Breakfast was amazing. They took care of our demands with regards to the food as we had kids. The hotel also provides cabs for sightseeing with an additional cost. Overall me and my family had an excellent stay.

Excellent Stay
Sherlock Holmes is a beautiful property quietly tucked away on the hills overlooking the ooty town below. Hardly 10 min drive to the Charing cross. Service and food are exceptional. Each one of the support staff are very friendly and helpful to your needs. Their Garden area is really beautiful with lovely trees & flowers to relax. Their colonial styled Rooms with fireplace and glass verandah's are really comfy. Their bathrooms have been upgraded recently so it looks new.

My stay in this resort was a truly refreshing experience. The atmosphere was peaceful, the staff were warm and welcoming. Food is too good but a little costly.

The room they gave us was not part of the main property. It was creaky and the phone wouldn’t even work.

Property in hills gives a great experience. Staff was polite and customer centric. Food was good. Only thing that was required to be updated is linen in rooms which seemed a bit old

The highlight, however, was the food! Every meal was a delight, with a wide variety of dishes prepared to perfection. Definitely a stay worth every penny! Excellent Stay
Hotel sherlock in ooty is an amazing hotel. I chose the mountain view room which is extraordinary. The glasshouse outside the room & the balcony is the beauty of the room. The room and the attached bathroom are clean and the staff are very helpful. Food is so so, not up to our expectations. The garden is meticulously maintained and is very rich with different flowers. As a whole we enjoyed our 2 night stay with a thought of coming back again in near future.

Excellent vintage stay option / but rooms need heaters
It was a cozy stay on the hills. A vintage property. The staffs are hospitable and helpful. I was provided with pain relief sprays and heat bags when requested for it. Really appreciate the staff’s help. The food was good and tasty. Coming to the rooms, the rooms in the main building is a bit small but has the best view of their amazingly well maintained garden. The mountain view villa is a newly constructed building with privacy away from the main property. These villas with a mountain view do not have a room heater considering the chilling weather in ooty. Their main cottage building has firewood place in the rooms with an additional charge. The negative part is the road to the property, it kind of gave us an off-road experience reaching to the property. I definitely suggest the property to provide the rooms with a heater considering the charges which is same as a 4 star hotel/resort.

Staff was so good. Ram (one of the helper) was always there to help us out. Scenice view, yes property is bit upwards but worth it. resort charged with additional dog charges at pet-friendly hotel issue we encountered during our recent hotel booking. We specifically applied the filter for pet-friendly hotels and chose a hotel that was listed as pet-friendly. We proceeded to make the full payment for our stay. However, upon arrival at the hotel, we were informed that there are additional charges for our dog, which were not mentioned during the booking process. This came as a surprise and caused inconvenience to us as we were not prepared for these extra charges. We kindly request that you review our booking details and address this discrepancy. It is important for customers to have a clear understanding of all potential charges when making a booking, especially when specific filters, such as pet-friendly options, are applied. I

Too much price for so little to offer
Unfortunately, my experience at this property was far from satisfactory, and i feel compelled to share my thoughts for the benefit of future guests. The primary issue is the pricing; it is exorbitantly high for what is offered. Despite the appealing images, the reality is a stark contrast - the property is surprisingly small, which is a significant letdown. While i have to commend the staff for their pleasant demeanor, their hospitality cannot mask the lack of amenities or activities within the property. For a place that offers so little, charging more than rs per night. Moreover, the additional charge of rs 1, 000 per night for pets is absurdly high and not justifiable by any standard. Ooty is a destination replete with much better accommodation options that provide superior value for money. Based on my experience, i cannot recommend this property. There are numerous alternatives in ooty that promise a more enjoyable and fulfilling stay without such exorbitant costs. Please consider looking elsewhere to make the most of your visit to this beautiful hill station.

Bad infra of new rooms, good staff, highly overpriced rooms
familyHighly over rated place. The place and rooms are not worth if you have to pay more than 4-5k per night for the deluxe rooms and lower for standard rooms. Infra needs a lot of work, esp. The new rooms which are not in the same compound. The floor vibrates, it has a tin/asbestos roof, doors have cracks and hot water is not available at all times. Thanks to the team of bala, kiran and sanjay who tried their best to make our experience good in this over priced and over rated place. Food is good, view is good.
