Review Of Raj Ville Hotel in Darjeeling Near Mall Road

I stayed at Raj Ville Hotel in Darjeeling with my friends, and our experience was very disappointing. The hotel was not clean at all — we even found fungus on the drinking bottle provided, and the bedsheets were dirty. In one of the rooms, there were bed bugs, which made it really uncomfortable. On top of that, the staff were not cooperative and took all our complaints very lightly instead of resolving them. For the price and location, we expected much better service and hygiene, but it was not worth it at all. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay

The rooms were decent but a little compact. There is continuous hot running water as they have a boiler and the there is almost no pressure to the water. A single bucket takes 10-15mins to fill. The staff too is unprofessional.

The stay was good. The hotel is located very near to the Mall, however on a steep hilly road which you have walk up and down as it is quite narrow. Overall the hotel is quite good with good food taste also. 24 hour running hot water is available and the beds are also quite comfortable. HK service is available whenever required. Only drawback is that they do not have Tandoor and momos available in the evening time even though it is there on the IRD menu. Hotel is quite clean and good overall looks. Overall satisfied with my stay in the property.

The hotel food was very bad, when i asked about the food, i was told that it is available here like this only. Got very bad response to hotel food

Everything is fine. Hotel stuff behavior is very good. But you couldn't see any mountain view from window. Food is also excellent.

Hotel is ok type. Room is very congested. The big problem is with geyser. The geyser is very small and you will get half bucket hot water after waiting half an hour. It is nearby mall road but in streets. There is no view.

The stay was comfortable and peaceful

Ideally located for local sightseeing, drop and pick up. Very clean rooms and bath. Heaters supplied for warmth. Very helpful staff. They helped to get boarding pass printed. Nice breakfast. Very good for the price.

The hotel is newly built and decent but a major portion of its rooms are without any windows, hence it is very claustrophobic. One cannot even remotely make out if it is day time or evening. The hotel staff categorically donot point this out at the time of checking in and once you have checked in there is no way you can move out. The room i stayed in was exactly like this. A dark claustrophobic match box.

We stayed for two nights. It was wonderful experience. Front desk people were cooperative and serve with smile. Unfortunately wifi and tv was not working but we did not bother as we were out most of the time. The only issue was the access to the hotel is quite steep, not recommended for senior citizens. Otherwise, it's a great deal according to the location and the price. Shall visit them again.
