I had a confirmed hotel booking through MakeMyTrip, but upon arrival, we were told by the hotel that no room was available—even though we had booked and paid in advance. There was no prior communication, no explanation, and no support from MakeMyTrip during this issue. The hotel themselves arranged for our stay at another property, but that stay was extremely disappointing — poorly maintained, uncomfortable, and not at all what we paid for. We booked our original hotel for specific standards and location, and the alternate option was close but it’s frustrating and unacceptable to face this kind of situation after planning and paying in advance. MakeMyTrip should take accountability for the vendors on their platform and ensure travelers don’t end up stranded or stuck with subpar accommodations. Would not recommend based on this experience.
