We stayed at MGM Beach Resort near Mahabalipuram for two nights with family. The overall experience was decent, though not exceptional considering the price.
The resort’s location is lovely, with well-maintained gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. The swimming pool was clean and a hit with the kids, and the private beach added to the scenic value—though beach access felt a bit restricted at times due to safety concerns.
Rooms were average. While the beds were comfortable, the interiors felt a little outdated and in need of maintenance. We also faced some issues with the AC not cooling properly and the bathroom not being as clean as expected.
The breakfast buffet had a good variety, and the staff at the restaurant were generally courteous. However, the à la carte food was overpriced and service was quite slow during peak hours.
Some resort staff were friendly and helpful, but overall, service felt inconsistent—especially when we needed housekeeping or technical assistance in the room.
