Review Of Hotel O Gnana S.R.M Residency

Hotel was not providing all amenities & manager at hotel was too rude. We dont have a tv connection, telephone (intercom) connection, ac switch & remote etc. When we asked the same to manager, he was rude in telling that you may vacate if you dont like the place. This is totally un-accepted. I request make mytrip to take action over the same. This type of atitude & support from mmt is not acceptable. We tried to connect with mmt, but no proper support. This will loose credibility on mmt & hotel.

No ac in room, rooms was smelling bad, staff was drunk, no parking, they didn't provide breakfast

It's was very dusty and plumbing not working great overall not so happy stay isnted of 1k the rooms are good if they rent for 500

Within city and easy accessibility to places and restaurants

Everything seems ok not much to complain.

No geyser, no WiFi, TV didn't have English channels, very minimal toiletries.

Breakfast was good consisting of south dishes.

Good staff and their service clean room .

It was good overall.

Don't stay at this hotel. They don't provide clean water or bed sheets. Rooms are not cleaned. You have to go down stare to ask for water. AC and TV remotes don't work properly. And price is too high. We stayed there for 2 nights and the first morning we have to ask for the breakfast repeatedly and the morning we have to check-out they brought the breakfast by 7 and told us to check-out soon even though our check-out time is 12 pm. Very bad services.

It's only a lodge without restaurant. The complimentary breakfast they provided was a take away parcel arranged from an outside eatery. The rooms are worth of only 800 rupees per day. Services were poor. Even drinking water was not provided the first day. Morning tea was not provided in spite of repeated reminders. They kept dustbin with stingy food waste in front of our room which was removed only after repeated reminders. This was an alternative property provided to me by Makemytrip and was not selected by me. The photograph attached shows how garbage was stored in front of my room.

Very bad don't ever go in this hotel... Owner won't even think about the damage in his hotel.. Looking only for money.. Service is really very bad don't waste your money by going this hotel... Worst experience...

I along with a few of my friends booked 2 rooms in the hotel for 26th and 27th of Jan. We paid 2600 INR for each room for 2 nights. Once we reached there we could find that this is not a hotel and looks like a lodge. The rooms were really small and the bathrooms were unclean and we were provided torn blankets. We requested the hotel to clean the bathrooms but they ignored our request saying they have already cleaned it. Hence we contacted MMT through which we booked this hotel and requested for cancellation. The management was so rude that they started shouting at us on asking for checkout form. We left the hotel and moved to another hotel opposite to this which offered nice clean and spacious rooms for 1200 each. I would not suggest this hotel to any family or any group as this doesn't seem to be worth for the price you pay for!!

The hotel is located in prime location but has almost nil parking space. Hardly 2-3 cars can be accommodated and that too one after another. You will have to wait if someone has parked his car before you. Hot water is not available 24hrs and is available on-request in the morning for max 3 buckets after which water turns cold. You will need to walk out of the hotel. Please don't accept complimentary break-fast. The food quality is below normal and not worth at all .. Stay away from it to be safe. Advantages: Wifi is available with excellent signal strength but I didn't use it though so can't comment on speeds. Room service is good and is definitely a safe place to stay with family if you can't find any other better accommodations in Pondicherry. Budget hotel in a premium price. Should be called a lodge rather than a hotel and should be priced below 1000 rs. Very near to tourist destinations like Manakula Vinayagar Temple, rock beach etc and you also have good food restaurants around like Anjappar etc. Friendly staff, willing to help and is very tourist friendly.

This is worst hotel I have ever stayed till today. It ruined my Pondicherry trip. Room was very small and overpriced. No hot water was available in the washroom, blanket had 2 big holes, AC remote didn't have batteries, they gave us water in water bottles without cap, room was very dirty, in the name of complimentary breakfast they bought some Vada and Idli from roadside vendor and gave us as breakfast. Hotel staff only knew Tamil so it was very difficult communicate with them, they didn't provide us extra blanket since we booked 2 rooms for six persons (each room with triple occupancy) and still they charged for 6 persons. They didn't provide any tea or coffee for breakfast and when we asked them that we will pay for tea then the hotel staff guy was so clever that he took money twice for 6 cups of tea. Since we were in two rooms so was taking advantage of that. He went to both the rooms and asked for money also the hotel staff was rude and they behaved very badly.

Horrible hotel at that price. Very disappointing experience. There was no hot water please check the pictures for reference. The AC water was dripping in the room. He refused to give extra blanket though we have paid extra amount for the third person.

When I asked to be moved to another room, I was told that this was not possible; nor were the problems rectified. Ants on the bed sheet. No changing plug points No elevator Not worth for the money The entire experience ruined our entire vacation and we will never be going back to book any of the hotel thorough make my trip app or recommending it to any of our friends.

Good for 1 to 2 days stay. Lift is not available hence have to struggle to go to 2 and 3 floor. AC water dripping inside the washroom floor. Not satisfactory. Repetition person not respond the call. Need to go down to order something.

SRM Residency is truly a value for money hotel which is situated in main market. The staff was polite, helpful and room service was quick. Complimentary breakfast was served in the room and tasted average. Parking facility is available. AC and TV work fine. Rooms are small, but the area is enough for accommodation of two guests. Would love to suggest to pay more attention towards cleanliness and furniture.
