Review Of The Village

The stay was great. Good property on the main road. 10 mins drive from the mysuru palace. Good food options and good quality food

This resort is quite old (manager told me it's 32 as of 2025) and the building has the antique look. They are maintaining it quite well. Balcony opens to the well maintained plush lawn with a number of trees. The lawn was very pleasing. It makes the resort a nice place to just lay back and relax. We relished the breakfast. It had a decent spread and all items were tasty. Staff were also extremely polite. The swimming pool was also good with graded depth from 3 to 7 ft. Though it doesn't give a contemporary feel, it is still good enough for a relaxing getaway. Only thing is with regards to value for money would have been better if it was a little cheaper.

The resort stay was so good. Food , ambience and cleaning are good. We enjoyed the trip with my family. I recommend The Village resort.

Lovely experience. The staff was very courteous especially tge restaurant staff. The manager there knew everything and had whatever wr needed. Soft spoken and nice. The ambience of the entire resort was extremely peaceful and beautiful. Serene is the word. Quite and relaxing. Tbey could start a Yoga retreat and it'll be success. Food was very good. Loved it.

Staff is very loyal and co operative . Specially reception, housekeeping & restaurant staff. However, I choose deluxe room, but in room some facilities are required up graded I.e. like bed. Also comb, bathroom chapple & hair oil pouch were not available in the room. Size of dinning table is very short.

Really good ambience and I just love the village look, spacious and peaceful . Breakfast quality can be improved and toiletries can be enhanced with comb, razors, hair dryer for necessity and to match the room price

While the room is of decent size and comfortable, add to it the picture perfect scene when it’s cloudy, the resort itself is not really very big. The swimming pool is in a corner secluded place with door at its entry where the kids pool is not maintained. A resort is also expected to serve a variety of dishes in breakfast but the village had limited options compared to many if the similar priced resorts. The staff was courteous but resort service was slow. I liked the food ordered from restaurant especially Chinese and its service too was quite fast.

The resort is below chamundi hills and nxt to the great venkateshwara temple..Hence a perfect location .The resort looks clean and green, rooms are quite spacious and has beautiful balconies facing tge green garden.Overall great ambience and anyone staying will enjoy the resort Service was great and breakfast was awesome. Recommend thus resort for a family stay

What I liked: 1) The property, though small, is peaceful and green. Gardens are well-kept and breakfast is served in the restaurant with open garden view which is very relaxing. 2) It's location is a huge plus, considering the major tourist attractions What could be better: 1) Not a great value for money, considering a tariff of 10 grand a day 2) Menu is limited - compared to experience of other resorts/hotels with similar price-points, breakfast buffet was limited. several items on menu were not available. 3) Simple amenities were also restricted - With 2 adults and a kid, water bottles beyond 2 were payable. Power went out several times (back-up is available). Washroom is very small.

Pleasant stay, beautiful garden, courteous people. Breakfast was good. Location is amazing. Ample parking space as well.

although the amenities available were good and the staff helpful, the room in itself was a letdown. The overall pros: 1. Great location, being situated right behind Chamundi Hills gives you a great view, especially during early mornings and late evenings 2. The gardens in the property were well maintained. 3. The staff were polite and friendly. cons: 1. The rooms were not upto the mark for the price. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable. 2. The room was lacking in overall cleanliness. The room as a whole seemed very old and in dire need of maintenance. Considering the quality of the room, the price being charged is not worth it.

Rooms were spacious. Property had a sprawling lawn and necessary seating. Bathrooms definitely need improvement. Food was good and sumptuous

The resort is very beautiful and green, we could see birds sitting on trees and chirping away. Inside the activities for family are great. Also staff is friendly and very nice. We really liked the food served at the restaurant

Property was nicely maintained service was impeccable and staff very cordial. Enjoyed the stay and will be a memorable one.

we stayed at ‘the village’ resort with our 8 month old for 3 nights.. here are some pros and cons that i observed.. pros: - the property is very beautiful. they are surrounded by greenery and there’s a nice lawn where you can rest and relax under the sun or for your evening coffee. it is well maintained and beautiful to look at too. - ⁠the rooms are pretty spacious and have a nice cute balcony. the structure is a bit old and rustic but we did not complain cos our little one had a lot of space to crawl around. - ⁠the food tastes good - we ordered in-room dining and had lunch at the restaurant and everything tasted really nice. we had complimentary breakfast as a part of our booking and that tasted good too. - ⁠the location is great with all popular sites such as zoo, mysore palace, aquarium, rail museum etc. at close proximity (under 5kms). cons. - they really lack in hospitality. the servers are not well trained to speak with guests and do not understand requests well. when we asked for normal water during breakfast, the server kept saying that they had options of either ‘tap water’ or bisleri bottle and nothing else. - ⁠don’t expect even the tiniest bit of customisation to your food. we asked for an omelette at night and they said they won’t be able to make it. we asked for a small bowl of khichdi for our baby and they said they only make full portions (which seemed strange as we went to a few other restaurants on our trip and they were very accommodating of out req of a small bowl of food for our baby) - ⁠their food is very overpriced - while hospitality and service is pretty sub standard for the price we pay for a room.. there were very very limited options for breakfast too and they were not accommodating of even the slightest of customisations. - ⁠the rooms are pretty old and rustic - they don’t have centralised ac but a unit instead. it was not a problem for us but it’s something you may want to know upfront. overall i think our stay was decent but at the price point of this room and resort, you would expect some top class hospitality and services which was clearly lacking. i would visit again for the beautiful property (if they step up on the service) but probably chose to have all meals out somewhere else..

Resort overall is good. Rooms are excellent and has classy feel to it. Food is a bit expensive. Breakfast could improve a lot. 15k per date stay and there was no dessert included in breakfast buffet. Overall i liked the resort

Good- garden, food, staff bad- room, old tvs on cable, insufficient power outlets, takes guests photo on checkin, uncomfortable furniture

Great property. Clean and neat. Good food. The room was excellent. All over nice experience. Nice and mindful service.
