Hills and hues – a place I had been longing to visit for such a long time, but somehow kept missing… until now! This time, it became even more special as I celebrated my husband’s birthday here in Thekkady, and it turned out to be a trip to remember. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a refreshing rose welcome drink that set the tone for our stay. We then checked into our gorgeous room – beautifully done, cozy, and with the perfect vibe to unwind. The day got even more exciting with a tea-tasting session, followed by a cooking class where I got to be the chef for 10 minutes and whipped up a delicious fish curry (proud moment because it turned out amazing!). At night, we celebrated with a birthday cake cutting, making the day even more memorable. The property itself is simply stunning – the pool is absolutely dreamy, and the surroundings are filled with nature’s magic, with the cool breeze making everything so serene. The next morning, we enjoyed a good breakfast and soaked in the peaceful atmosphere before heading back. A truly special family getaway in every way! 💚🌿

Excellent Stay
A beautiful resort tucked away in the lap of nature..On arrival they greeted us with roses, a warm welcome drink and a treated towel to refresh ourselves.We have booked Cavern rooms..Which had a spacious room. Chairs, minibar, TV..The room has such a view as one side it’s glass, just enjoy the view from bed too. Every corner of the room has a live plant and loved the vibe and the cozy lightings very neatly maintained property with beautiful flowers everywhere. From the toiletries to the slippers provided are all eco friendly products that’s so thoughtful. Each room has kettle, hot water bath and also air conditioned. The weather was too good that we didn’t even need the fan. The pool has such an amazing view.. The water was bit cold but don’t miss the experience.We did enjoy the cooking demo by chef Jawaharlal who patiently explained to our queries. Chef Ram was so courteous to prepare the food. We enjoyed the Live music during the dinner time by Tabla and Violin artists. I strongly recommend everyone booking a stay to try Ayurvedic massage which was par excellence, Navya did a great job..It was drizzling and so we did miss the camp fire. The road to the resort is narrow and we can seek assistance from the resort staff if needed. They can also arrange for sight seeing if needed. Such a luxurious stay..Thanks to the Hills and Hues team for making our stay so memorable..

The property is decent but overpriced for what it offers. No AC in common areas makes it uncomfortable in the heat. The pool is small, vegetarian food options are limited, and seating at viewpoints lacks basic comfort. The access road is poorly maintained, and the property itself is quite small. Overall, it doesn't justify the premium cost. The Staff and hospitality is good. I would like if they think of all these and make necessary changes it will be beneficial for them.

Breathtaking ! Picture Perfect! 100% Worth the spend
Facilities : Excellent. There are lot of things to see at the resort. The infinity pool is a breathtaking view. View point was an amazing one with a 360° view and breeze. Garden : Beautiful, Well maintained garden and lawn area. Picture perfect location. Food : Good. Expensive but not killer expensive as other 5 star hotels. Natural ingredients are used, we can understand that when we taste it. Hospitality: Well behaved staff. Very courteous and helpful. Room : Clean, spacious rooms. All necessary facilities were provided. Aesthetics of the rooms are commendable. Well maintened, clean and fresh looking. Toiletorries provided were all of high quality.

The most aesthetic and scenic stay we've gone in kerala
We've stayed with hills and hues before and this is the second time we're here. The first time we came here itself we fell in love with this place. The scenes around here are very welcoming and gives greece country like vibes. I've seen many infinity pools in kerala but the infinity pool here gives justice to its name. The food over here is exceptional. Overall for a nice staycation this is the best place.

The property location is excellent. Views from the room are breathtaking. However rooms need renovation and refurbishment. The staff were exceptionally kind and good at service.

familyWe stayed here on our vacation and i must say that it is a lovely property with great views of the valley and plains. The rooms are well maintained, hygiene is top notch, and the staff is very polite & courteous. The food is really good. We celebrated christmas eve over here and it was amazing. The accessibility is challenging, but the view is rewarding. Thanks to the staff for making it comfortable for us & our toddler with food options. Highly recommended!

coupleHills and hues was not just a holiday escape but an adventure to enjoy !The way they constructed without disturbing the nature was remarkable!it was a pure experience for kids to enjoy the nature,my one year old thoroughly enjoyed it (it was his first vacation ). Mr Ridhesh and Mr Ram were extremely great in communication and were so caring ❤️. ****the only thing the owner should be worried about is the receptionist (INDHU AND DANYA)spoiling the mood of the guests,she was just teasing me in Malayalam( I just by mistake spilled the Ginger tea when they gave me at the check in.So she said (These TAMIL GUESTS WILL MAKE US WORK DOUBLE THE TIME)at the time of checkin .I didn’t care because I didn’t understand.I didn’t make an issue as we were on anniversary trip !it would be so much better if the receptionist was with good communication skills !since first impression of hills and hues lies with her(First impression is the best impression)..Pls don't compare your guest with Language..Those Receptionist should be taught some teaching and manners and good lesson from the owner. Those two will spoil the name of whole resort...I have been to so many 5 star resort in Kerala...but never dealt with these kind of receptionist... Such a rude words that hurts my sentiments ...

Overall a great experience.
We had an amazing time. The room view was great! chef ram’s food was very delicious especially the fish curry, madurai style chicken gravy and chicken sambal. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The staff were very sweet and attentive.

Splendid property
The location is amazing and room view is beautiful clean and tidy. The service and hospitality is spot on and to be mentioned. Regarding food, in our opinion the options are less and is average. For the price charged, we did not feel it was value for money. However, we need to appreciate the fact that the chef was ready to provide customised food during breakfast. One point would we would like you to note is that the shower pipe was broken and it was fixed asap. However, it would be good to check these before the guest checks in as people coming in and going out while we are in room with family affects our privacy while we pay premium for the service.

Resort with amazing views
We stayed at hills and hues for 1 night. Room and service: the room type we stayed at was 'the cavern. The room was very spacious. The view from the room was amazing. The staff were very courteous and helpful. Food: breakfast spread was good. Ala carte menu was expensive. Quality and quantity wise no complaints. The head chef personally checked with everyone about the food quality and for any personal customizations. Amenities: view from infinity pool was amazing. Had the pool been temperature controlled it would have been great. There were couple of view points within the resort premises which were great. Kids outdoor play area was little remote which was a bit of let down. Indoor activity options was very limited location: the path to the resort was very narrow and steep. Considering the view from the resort, this wouldn't be a big concern.
