Excellent Stay
Our stay at Spice Village was great. The property was well maintained and the staff was very attentive and engaged. A visit to the bar there is a must - it is very tastefully done. Also the property is easy to access since it’s on the main road. Highly recommended, even for a quick two day getaway.

Very nice experience. Hotel was completely eco zone. Rooms were nice well decorated with originally Kerala theme. CGH stands for clean green and healthy, all the rooms and bathrooms were well organised.

not a home away from home
I recently went to the property. Location and vibes of property is good. But few things messed my stay. 1)my kid got fever. I asked for a thermometer. Which was no available with them, with that they never asked for doctor assistance to us also. Reception told us that they will ask ayurveda department if they have thermometer, but we never got a reply on that also. Service by staff has a very casual approach. 2) we were assisted to keep window and door net closed, And we did it. Still some insect bite was there at night which led to sleepless night and swelling in hand, what we found was spider on bed. Will share photo. 3) hi-tea timing is 4:30 to 5:30. We went for high tea at 5:40. And the hi-tea was closed. And we were assisted by the staff to have tea or coffee at room. Usually when we stay at a good place 10-15 mins are managed by property as a gesture to the guest. So basically I would sum up saying that . When we stay i a good 5 stat category property, we think of home away from home. But property misses the vibe of home away from home. Staff are very casual about the service. They should get a better training and good boss. Room should not have atleast spiders. please have some basic first aid .

Exceptional Hospitality
The hospitality at this property is exceptional. The staff is very warm, the location, by virtue of being spear across 12 acres, is amazing. It’s every travellers dream if you are coming for a relaxing vacation. They have multiple activities that you can chose from, to fill your days. The restaurant/ food is also exceptionally good, and the staff at the restaurant also ensures each experience is top notch.

Amazing Place to Getaway from it all
The location was perfect, right next to the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The property was amazing and you get to live in the lap of nature with amazing greenery all around you in eco-friendly cottages. The ambience is just out of this world and so peaceful that you want to stay back forever. The service is excellent and extremely courteous and the food choice is varied.

BABYMOON AT SPICE VILLAGE
We stayed at Spice Village for our Babymoon. I wanted some bed decor to surprise my wife they did that more than expected, and even to my surprise they arranged candlelight dinner and a cake to cut. They took care of us with top most priority and catered to all our needs. They were ready to get anything and everything my wife needed to help her be comfortable. We learned to make Kerala Fish curry, all the indoor activities were so much fun. Definitely will stay here again just for the hospitality and rooms were also top class

Our family trip experience at CGH Spice Village, Thekk
Good experience at the property. Was given warm welcome followed by briefing by Staff. check in was smooth.Clean rooms & well behaved staff. Kids loved the activities provided by the Resort & pool. Couple of wild animals were also sighted in the mornings. Food is excellent,regular feedbacks were taken by the staff & is expensive. MMT offer of 1000 rupees/room/day on food was availed(2 rooms 2 day), deduction of Rupees 3000 given by the resort. No proper explanation given by the staff.

We are highly satisfied with our stay in your property. But I subtly try to suggest the following points: 1.Dining time musicals need variation. Daily same tunes repetition is monotonous and boring especially for those who are staying more than one day. The same applies for the cultural program. 2. Mattresses are not comfortable. Too much soft causing a bend of the body while lying .

Very unique and outstanding!
One of the best hotels in Kerala if you are looking for peaceful stay close to nature. The staff were really helpful and polite and willing to go extra mile to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The room was very clean and has good interior. The hotel is rich in flora and fauna. You can see many plant and birds species. Have never experienced such a wonderful ambience in a resort. Their policy of no plastic and using organic products is very impressive. The food was very delicious and the service was prompt. Breakfast had very good options. The only let down was the massage session which was quite over-priced and had average ambience. It should be improved and interior could be better but overall stay was fabulous. Will book only CGH earth hotels whenever I plan a trip to south India.
