    Not Worth The Money ,Very Poor Hospitality

    Our experience at this hotel was very disappointing from start to finish. Firstly, we were given a room on the second floor, but there was no lift available, which made things quite inconvenient. Inside the room, there wasn’t even a single doormat or floor mat provided. In the bathroom, there was no hand wash, and though a geyser was available, it was very small and took a long time to produce hot water. Even after several calls to the reception for assistance, no one responded. When we ordered food, it took almost two and a half hours to arrive, despite multiple follow-up calls. The food was not only of very poor quality but also highly overpriced. To make matters worse, the final bill contained incorrect food items. Overall, our stay was completely unsatisfactory. The service, food, and facilities all fell far below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

    Terrible Stay

    Very bad experience, they are short staff. 2 to 3 people managing the hotel. Intentionally power off the electricity at night everyday. Very poor condition of the room Most of the room geyser will not work No one to carry your luggage. Worst hotel in lachung

    Our stay at Mount Bayul Shangrila Resort for two nights was truly unforgettable! The property is surrounded by spectacular mountain views that perfectly capture the beauty of Lachung — waking up to the misty valleys and snow-clad peaks was magical. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and warmth — exactly what you need in such a serene hill station. However, what truly sets this resort apart is their exceptional hospitality. The entire staff was humble, kind, and always ready to go beyond their limits to ensure guests feel at home. A special mention to Mr. Mukesh, who showed extraordinary commitment — during a landslide on our way to Lachung, he personally arranged and helped us reach the resort safely from the other side. His dedication and care really touched us. The manager deserves a heartfelt thanks as well — during the bonfire night, he sang for everyone with an amazing voice and made the evening memorable. It felt less like a hotel stay and more like being hosted by friends. Overall, Mount Bayul Shangrila Resort is a perfect blend of breathtaking views, comfortable stay, and unmatched hospitality. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lachung — this place and its people will stay in your heart long after you leave. ❤️

    Absolutely Pathetic – Waste of Money

    One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. The buffet was a joke, hardly any options, and whatever little was there tasted bland and recycled. It felt more like a hostel mess than a hotel restaurant. The staff were unbelievably lazy. Zero hospitality. No one seemed interested in helping, most of the time they were just standing around, ignoring guests. Service? What service? Even basic requests were either forgotten or flatly ignored. Asked for an extra towel, never came. Requested drinking water, had to follow up twice, still didn’t get it. The overall attitude was “we don’t care” and it showed in every part of the experience. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Totally not worth the money.

    Very good hotel. Rooms are very clean and service is very good. Mr. Deepesh is very helpful. Even they provided breakfast parcel as we were checking out early, before their scheduled time for breakfast. Food is very tasty and they provide variety as well. Highly recommended.

    The hotel is new with amazing views from windows. The restaurant food is delicious and the staff is also very good. There is dth and wifi which do not work but there is full mobile network so the internet was not an issue.

    Tv doesn't have any channel they don't recharge they ask you to connect your phone. Very limited food option, service of food can be very slow due to limited staff. Balcony is too narrow, it's not even balcony

    We have paid for 2 adults + 1 kid. Later only 1 adult +1 kid arrived and we have asked to either refund or adjust with food bills. They never considered and also gave a room where honeybees were there and hair follicals on the bed.

    The perfect hotel

    The property is beautiful and clean and safe. It's located right by the river stream and has a beautiful view of snow capped mountains on all sides. The staff was attentive and warm. Food was also good. Would definitely return to this hotel if i visit lachung again.
