I cannot help but rate this as 4.5/5 keeping in mind that it is located in Lachung - such interiors of North Sikkim. Mr Bhutia - the owner has built this extraordinary property with all modern amenities and clearly his heart at the right place - offering tourists and visitors great comfort, clean, warm and spacious rooms along with multi-cuisine options. The staff is also polite, cheerful and very helpful - truly won me over and I am already planning my next trip. Thank you team Jewel Kongchem.

The place Jewel Kongchen Retreat Lachung wasn’t ready to receive the guests, not yet fully operational. Very limited food options in veg because vegetable weren’t in stock since their supplies haven’t arrived yet. No electricity during entire night though smaller and not so expensive places nearby had electricity. None of staff stays in property during the night so effectively I was only person staying in property and no electricity in building during night. It wasn’t a good experience staying there.

The hotel location is excellent. The service was excellent. The food was of high quality and very appetising.

we are unable to reach Lachung due to natural calamity like heavy rainfall and landslide. An advisory was issued by Government Authority for closure of roads. The same was intimated to MakeMyTrip on 24.4.25 immediately after issuance of Government notification and request was made for refund of booking amount. Numerous E-mails were sent but no response received till date.

Excellent room condition. Brilliant hospitality and service of staffs. Very well behaved and timely. Central heating stole the show in very cold weather

good stay...but tandoor item was not available and reason was less headcount...which was not a fair reason as people would feel like eating tandoor items in cold weather...they should oblige even if 1 guest is there in hotel. rest all was good

Overall, my stay at jewel kongchen retreat & spa hotel was nothing short of exceptional. It's the perfect destination for anyone looking to unwind and indulge in a bit of luxury. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.

The rooms were excellent, clean and spacious. View mostly beautiful good facilities- power fluctuations due to heavy rains but mostly ok great collection of library books to read from which was enjoyable outside bird-nest swings add a fun element food although he provides some variety- the potatoes were uncooked and soups didn't taste good, average taste in general, could've been better

The hotel is a little away from the maddening crowd which was a big plus for me. It's a new property, rooms are extremely clean, nice ambience and very cooperative staff. Stayed in a room with a balcony and the moment you pull the curtain we were amazed to see the snow capped mountain and in the evening there were clouds playing with the mountains. Overall it was a very pleasant stay though there is some scope of improvement in terms of breakfast and dinner in terms of variety.

No 24*7 electricity they will provide candels in the room. Genset is not working no invertor lights in room or toilet.

We stayed at jewel kongchen for two nights. It was a comfortable stay. Staff is very courteous. Check-in was swift and efficient. Our rooms with balcony on 3rd floor were very spacious. Breakfast spread is average. Food was great. Nice place to stay.

Nice stay, staff very friendly, food okay at such place, but too many power cuts

The standards of a star hotel were readily evident. Atmosphere too was very fresh inside. Had a few power fluctuations, but our stay was very comfortable regardless. Service and hospitality too was top notch!!

It is one of the best hotel that anyone can find in lachung. There are very limited hotels in lachung and this hotel has every facility you can think of. Food is also tasty. View from hotel is also amazing. Staff is also very courteous. Looking forward for a stay again with jewel kongchen.

The hotel is at the beginning of lachung and has all modern amenities including heater. The manager packed sumptuous tasty breakfast as we had to leave early. Great stay

Excellent property with a great view. The room was spacious and clean and had great aesthetics. I had a great experience with the incredibly helpful staff, and the amenities were great. The cuisines served in the restaurant had a great presentation and were delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting sikkim.

A safe hotel with well disciplined staffs. Location was easy to find at such a higher altitude. Never expected my stay at jewel will be that good. Since i arrived late at night staffs were extremely helpful to help with my luggages. Food was also good providing variety at such remote place is not easy. Room was clean, had scenic views, had a hot & cold tap system, well heated room.
