I checked into the hotel at around 7 PM. Earlier, around 5 PM, I received a call from the hotel asking for my check-in time.
Upon arrival, the room allotted to us had a large extra bed, which was unnecessary since we were only two guests. The room landline was not working, so I had to step out and call housekeeping in person to get the extra bed removed.
Additionally, there were no towels placed in the bathroom — neither bath towels nor hand towels. When I enquired, I was told that towels are provided only upon request, which is quite surprising for a hotel of this standard.
When I shared this feedback at the front desk, I was informed that the room was earlier part of a group booking, which is why the extra bed was placed. However, considering that the hotel’s check-in time is 2 PM and I checked in at 7 PM, I would have expected the room to be properly prepared and ready by then.
While the food was good, the overall service experience was disappointing.
