location of the resort is great. place is a little withered out but maintained very well. staff is really polite and humble. food quality is good, nothing to complain about. the only issue I felt was regarding the cost of restaurant, in room dining was levied with extra charges. taxation is from anywhere to anywhere, FEEL FREE to order BUT CROSSCHECK THE COST. quality is great. hidden charges : Service charges without asking, tax on the amount that includes service charge, water bottle with MRP ₹20/- was provided at ₹50/-. look out for food charges rest is great stay.

Misleading Listing – should havve Disclosed the Renovation Work
We recently booked a stay at Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort via MakeMyTrip , expecting a peaceful lakeside retreat. What we got instead was a construction site with patchy paint, non-functional amenities, and a deserted, eerie vibe. Despite requesting early check-in, we were told the hotel was “sold out.” Strangely, there were no guests—just construction workers scattered around the property. The pool, a major selling point, was completely shut down and filled with debris. This key detail was not disclosed anywhere on the MakeMyTrip listing. The room condition was appalling. Walls had peeling paint, the doors looked like they hadn't been painted in years, and the overall look of the property resembled a neglected government guesthouse—or worse, a horror movie set. We were so disappointed that we checked out one day early. While the hotel staff tried their best under the circumstances, MakeMyTrip failed in its duty to provide accurate and honest information at the time of booking. A platform as large as MakeMyTrip should vet listings better and ensure customers aren't walking into unpleasant surprises. At the very least, properties undergoing renovation should be clearly marked with a warning. We’ve reached out for a refund and are still waiting for a resolution. Highly urge others to double-check with properties directly before booking through this platform.

Very basic facilities. Very unresponsive staff. Even basic communities like hot water in the room is a challenge.

Average stay
Old hotel, no ac in restaurant, bathroom needs to be maintained well. Few dishes in dinner and breakfast. Overall not satisfied for the money we have paid for the room and service.

Overall good stay (7/10)
What was good? The hotel is located on lakeside. The swimming pool is open and attached to the hotel and only few feets from the lake. The view of the lake and pool together is mind blowing. The room was spacious. The breakfast buffet was good. What was bad? TV was not working when we came to room and got changed, you should check it beforehand. Very few malayalam channels and mostly news. They have many paid channels for hindi and few english. I think they don't expect much malayalees to stay. The floor in the dressing room was not even. Kids play area is yet to see some development. The shower room near pool under renovation. Overall I dont feel the touch of a four star facility. Comments The facility has a lot to improve if they really would like to. I would really expect more for the price.

Excellent resort, helpful staf
We recently stayed at Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort for a family vacation, and it was an excellent choice. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for our family. The housekeeping staff made sure everything was spotless, and we really appreciated the extra touches like fresh towels and toiletries. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going out of their way to help with anything we needed, whether it was extra towels or tips on local attractions. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. The food was a highlight for us as well. The hotel’s restaurant offered a great selection of dishes that satisfied both the adults and the kids. We enjoyed every meal, and the breakfast buffet was good as well. Great location but poor maintenance
The resort has seen better days it needs a lot of maintenance only saving grace ia the location which is marvelous the best in allepey i feel. The staff is trying their level best to make the guests feel at home and kudos to them for it. As a group hotel of lemon tree the management shoud work immediately to refurbish the rooms and public places. The food was ok and the spa services were good also.
