Review Of Hotel Jem Valley

Very old rooms. No food available, whatever food they have remaining is not even edible, served very cold. Room service takes forever. Staff just stares at your face when you ask them anything, doesnt deliver any service at all. Not worth even 500 service. They start blasting music at 6 am in corridor at high volume, absolutely destroyed my sleep. Will never come again.

We went with our friends. Booked 2 rooms and the stay was really comfortable with large balconies and clean washrooms. The property is at a great location which makes the views breathtaking!

Stay was excellent. Room was excellent. The mountain view from balcony was very excellent. Staff was very helpful and cooperative. food was very nice Stay was excellent. Room was excellent.

The best thing about the hotel was the location and the view. Its was just excellent; but the moment you get inside the room is when isssus begin, if u use geyser only mud water flows, basin pipes were broken for both the rooms we booked. Electric ketle was broken too and was leaking water. We were told from reception that last room service order for dinner was at 9:30 pm , but we were started getting calls from restaurant every 30 mins feom 6:30 pm to order food for dinner, inspite of telling them 9:30 was the last order they kept nagging us which ruined all the fun and untimately we had to order food at 8:30 pm and eat cold food later.

Excellent view from the room, we stayed in Jun 2nd week and the weather was super chilled just like the winter season. The clouds are coming directly to your room via balcony. Food and room service is also very good but one needs to put a little extra effort in walking. Overall the hotel is situated at a higher altitude and the roads are very steep.

The room location was very awkward considering the road to reach was too steep They dint provide any facility on time and food was horrible. Hot water was never available. Just the room was good nothing else about this property was good.

I booked valley view and the room is spacious and has a balcony. Balcony provides a stunning view of the valley. If you are a nature lover, you can sit there , have a cup a tea and spend hrs. Though the resort is not far from the Kodaikanal town, really an uphill task to reach the place. Vehicle should be in very good condition. Food is good but for the cost they are charging, it is not worthy. But as the place is remote, you have to rely on resorts restaurant only. Overall it is very good place to spend couple of days.

Services are not satisfactory. Had tough time having hot water. The TV was not working. The services were not good. Room was smelling all dust and stinky. Room boy did not cooperate for room spray. Charges for food are very high. Not many options for food during lunch & dinner. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is top of the hill and very difficult to claim, this is not suitable for elders/parents, and very difficult to find the hotel. They charging like 5 start hotel and actually is not. Overall stay was okay not so good.

The stay was good, cleanliness and amenities were great on the price. Location wise it was outskirts, good for view but access wise far. The road to hotel however was pretty bad and single lane. In case cars from opposite direction meets then there is no place to give side on that steep road. Food taste also can be improved.

I had a wonderful weekend stay at Jem Valley Resort, Kodaikanal. The location is fantastic—just about 3 km from Kodai Lake. The drive is a bit steep, but absolutely scenic and worth it. The resort is perched on higher ground, offering breathtaking views of the valley below. The staff were warm and attentive, providing great service throughout our stay. We especially loved the complimentary buffet breakfast, served hot and fresh every morning at 8:30 AM. Jem Valley also offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. We enjoyed spending time at the gym, playing table tennis and carrom, and even had a few rounds on the badminton court. Overall, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy nature, with all the comforts you’d want on a vacation. Highly recommended!

Hospitality- Very good / Location - best valley view /Best Unique - Phone tower Low, so We can live our day / Always cooling will be best compared to Kodai

Hotel jem was really a hidden Jem of kodaikanal, nice view , great stay and friendly peoples.. and they provide transportation facility also.

Worst ever stay, no food complementary. I came with my wife and they asked for extra money for early check in.

It's was very pleasant location. Excellent view. We loved the private balcony for honey moon suite with seats. Restaurant and food wasn't bad with same menu daily but costly and serving only buffets so better to go for such packages there was night fire and tandoori stalls in the premises. Rooms were spacious enough but geaser didn't work everything we wanted to get hot water however was adjustable. The weather is extremely cold during our stay. Climbing up the heights was so terrible but a car with a good driver makes it easy

Stayed there for 1 day. Location is good but room and food is worst. Restaurant will never pick your call even for single coffee/tea. The staff are polite but they make mistakes and simply ask sorry and leave. At dinner they served jeera rice, i found a portion of the steel scrubber which we used for cleaning utensils, actually i completed feeding the same to my 2 year kid after that i noticed it. Complained about this to restaurant and they simply said sorry sir. Not sure what kind hotel this is.

A hidden gem. The hotel is located on one of tallest hills... view from the rooms are breathtaking... the staff are very friendly and welcoming... food is very good and fresh... driving your car to your room through the steepest hills in quite thrilling for first timers. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Simply the best!

Room is just given no toiletary is provided by hotel nothing is delivered on time they don't even come for room service
