We stayed at The Hosteller Kodaikanal, and while the property is nice overall, there are a few areas that definitely need improvement. • Geyser issue: The geyser in our room didn’t work, and we had to bathe in cold water despite the chilly weather. We were told that it usually takes 20–30 minutes for the geyser to heat up in most rooms, but in our case, it didn’t work at all. • Door access: The door can only be opened using an OTP, and this became quite inconvenient, especially when the internet was down. • Internet connectivity: The Wi-Fi connection was poor throughout our stay, which directly affected the door access system. • Driver accommodation: There’s no separate accommodation for drivers, which was disappointing since most hotels usually provide basic quarters for them. On the positive side, the food was really tasty, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. If they can fix the above issues, it would make the overall experience much smoother and more enjoyable.

Everything was so good until the transport/ mobility near hosteller was very bad. As a solo traveller i suffered alot bcoz no public transport neither private transport near by 5km to hosteller. Other than that every thing was Very well loved it.

Valley view room pictures are misleading | Poor wifi

Firstly the room pictures of the category I selected are a bit misleading (the balcony view is obstructed while room category says valley view) ... also, wifi issue is there a lot... they say it is like that in whole city but that is not the case... I got perfect phone network just on the road outside of their stay. So the property is still lacking connectivity. Rest all is good. But if you are coming as a couple and booking valley view room... dont expect the view to be great.
