I had a terrible experience with Hotel Hill Top, Katra and I strongly advise others to avoid booking this property.
The hotel provides two contact numbers:seems to belong to the owner,. In the beginning, he spoke very politely and promised, “Haanji, bilkul chinta na karein, sab ho jayega. We provide the best service.” His tone was smooth and convincing.
But after that, he completely stopped answering calls. Despite calling multiple times, there was no response. When he did respond earlier, he would only say “Ho jayega” without any real action.
The second number is now unreachable or seems to be with an unknown person. The hotel shows 3–4 contact numbers, but only one of them works, and that too unreliably.
Even MakeMyTrip failed to handle the situation properly. Their agents kept transferring my calls from one department to another — agent to supervisor to manager — and yet no one provided a solution. They even tried calling the hotel owner, but he didn’t take their calls either.
This is not just poor service — it’s complete negligence.
If you are planning to visit Katra, please avoid booking Hotel Hill Top. Post-booking service is zero, and the hotel clearly doesn’t care about customer support or commitments.
Also, do not trust Dinesh Sharma’s fake promises — they are only until you make the booking. After that, you’re on your own.
