Stayed in this hotel for 5 nights was below average but not the worst,
the bad points were:
- [ ] Not the cleanest
- [ ] New bed sheets blankets and pillows - looks filthy and old and they were lumpy
- [ ] Clean out the lockers
- [ ] Hostel staff to loud at night time, after 11pm they should be quieter.
- [ ] Also don't advertise as party Hostel if the staff do not invite you to sit and drink with them.
- [ ] No singing by hostel staff in the day (especially at 7-8am when cleaning!!!
- [ ] CLEAN THE KITCHEN - make people wash us and tidy the sides. Empty the fridge once a week and wipe it down (very dirty!!)
- [ ] Get a heater for winter (in the lounge area at least - make sure staff close windows when it's winter.
- [ ] Shower upstairs is broken, leaks cold water out of one part, electrocuted you when you touched it if you were in the shower.
- [ ] Clean the bathrooms more than once a day if both male and females are going to use it.
- [ ] Paint the walls or add colour - very plain
- [ ] Table and chairs not needed in rooms as wastes space and only 2 chaired provided so wouldn't be enough anyway.
The good points were:
- [x] Good location
- [x] Staff were friendly in the day!
- [x] Breakfast rolls were nice
Luckily we weren't around loads and due to being in a good location we're out most of the nights as well.
If you need a really cheap accommodation might be worth it, but feel personally there could be better value for money elsewhere.

:: they made it great ::
Its my second time hosteling and also for a short period time and I enjoyed Beats. First all there is a lot of word about Sampa and Brasil being dangerous but Beats is located in Bella Vista -zone- and just a few blocks away from Av. Paulista and this area is posh so it is safe, really safe. I wasn't in Sampa for tourism but it was very strategic for my purpose and you have am/pm convenience store right across, 24 hour super market 2 blocks away, bus and metro also very close.
-- Infrastructure --
I was lucky to be in the private bathroom suite that holds 6 beds in two 3 story bunk beds all by myself so have no idea about the other rooms and public shower/toilet. In my case everything was clean. The crew were even nice enough to wash my shirt witch i had just laid on the chair next to the bed I slept and beds were made anew everyday.
-- Staff -- Most of the staff hail from different parts of the world and are there seasonal so I felt the experience is more unique and should differ for everyone. Had a chance to have some fun conversations and for my luck the lady staff were very pretty.
-- party mode? -- online you might read that beats is a party hostel, and although i was not looking for partying and there was music it wasn't hardcore, which was great for me. overall great people and great location.

Beautiful space in a beautiful....
My girlfriend and I stayed in Beats hostel for an entire month during my time in Sao Paulo and we couldn't have asked for a cooler space to serve as the focal point of our stay. Literally 3 blocks from one of the city's largest avenues and the metro, 1 block away from the largest supermarket in the area, and only 25 mins walking distance (10 mins via metro) from the most poppin' neighborhoods for drinking and clubbing (Rua Augusta), the location is prime for easy tourism and hardcore nightlife.
The hostel itself is a cozy spot to either chill and/or party it up (happy hour from 9 to 10!) with neat murals and a TV room covered in Portuguese-language Marvel comics wallpaper. Beats is staffed by mostly volunteers from around the world, creating an awesome space for international, cross-cultural exchange; the staff's enthusiastic presence adds to the party/chill vibe of the hostel. Be sure to show them some love! (also, if you need anything from them, i.e. a cleaner bathroom, new bedsheets, don't be afriad to ask!) We made some beautiful relationships during our stay with people from all over the world, including Brazil and other parts of Latin America.

Yes, its not expensive. But everything there was horrible. At the front desk there was a blond guy that wasnt even part of the staff. No one helped us with the bagage. The room smelled terribly bad, the floor wasnt clean. In fact, I had to pick up a broom and start to clean it myself while this guy and another girl looked at me. No one spoke spanish or even portuguese. We were supposed to sleep there two more night but we preferred to cancel our reservation, loose money rather than sleep there.

Great Hostel in São Paulo
Really good place to stay in São Paulo! Nice bedrooms, cool staff, good breakfast and a really nice bar where you can drink excellent caipirinhas! I really recommand this Hostel if you want to spend a good time in São Paulo! Besides the location is really good, just next to the principal street!
