i was here with my family and this was our first home stay in nanital. The stay was wonderful indeed and we are happy that we chose this place. It is a nice place away from the hustle bustle of the main city, in the ayarpatta area. The property is a home stay, with well maintained and furnished two separate units, with each unit having 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms 1 living area and a kitchenette. We were in unit 1 that can accommodate up to 5 persons. Unit 2 could accommodate six easily. There is a small common area between the units. There is an adequate outspace, outside the common area, where a group of 10-12 people approx can sit and enjoy the view of the surrounding trees and hills and also enjoy the sun approaching the property from the nainital side is a single lane uphill road, once you leave the main road, but we could easily travel to the property in an innova crysta. Our pick up from kathgodam station was also arranged by capt. Pankaj ji, the owner of the property, who lives in the premises a level below on arrival we were greeted by pankaj ji, who showed us around and provided us with a list of places to visit, things to do, good restaurants around, and all other information one would need if they were visiting nainital for the first time from the time we checked in to check out the owner was very kind, courteous, helpful and very proactive. He made our stay more comfortable by being there for everything and was helpful with each and every requirement. The property
clean, neat, quiet, well kept, simple yet aesthetic. Wooden flooring. Built in contemporary style. Clean washrooms. Nice kitchenette with microwave, kettle, ro water. Clean bedding and other stuff. Being a home stay you need to carry your own dental kit, shaving kit, face cream etc. Soaps, towels, toilet paper are provided. Hot water supply is 24x7. No ac (off course you wont need them ever. Adequate privacy in spite of both units being adjacent to each other. Room service
no room service per se because this is a home stay. An attendant keeps the place clean and up to date. The owner is always available for anything and everything. Food
if you love to have home cooked food then you will enjoy the limited yet sufficient menu. One needs to order well in advance so that the in-house cook can prepare it. We had dal tadka, kadai paneer, boondi raita, zeera aloo, rice, tawa roti and all were absolutely awesome. We enjoyed pane-er paratha, a loo paratha and butter toast for breakfast. If you are happy eating outside then there are a couple of places nearby that pankaj ji informed us of. If you are planning to roam around on mall road he may suggest some good eating places there too. Trails and treks
tiffin top trail, killbury trek are nearby and the owner will guide you about them as well. Flora and fauna
ample of greenery, lot of birds too. A monkey family apparently stays nearby and can come to say hello to you. They mind their business, most of the time! we saw a pea-hen while roaming around in morning around 630am. Overall it was fun to be here with family. The place being away from the main town is really peaceful, but if you want to go to mall road you need to have own vehicle or arrange a taxi. The owner arranged taxi every-time we needed one and we were happy to pay. On return from mall road it is easier to find a taxi. Bike or tvs nitro are readily available on rent 500 per day, so couples can make good use of them and also save some bucks. For our return journey to delhi pankaj ji arranged an ertiga at very reasonable prices for us. Cheaper even than uber or ola! we would definitely visit again. I strongly recommend this home stay. A home away from home indeed. Pradeep s
