Review Of Malabar Residency (500 meter from Periyar National Park Gate)

This property is very close to the Kumily Private bus stand. So, you can check in to the room without any delay. But there is no proper name board or visible display of the hotel name and hence it is difficult to locate the property if we do not ask the people there. They have a very big confectionery shop in the ground floor and the rooms are in the first and other floors and there is only a narrow passage to the room. The room and toilet are very tiled, very clean and looks new. I felt that the money paid was worth. There was water, hot water, TV, dust bin etc. But food facility is not there, I feel. We did not order any food. They will arrange a vehicle if needed for your sightseeing or local travel. Overall, the property is good and the stay also was good.

Avoid booking this hotel based on the photos. Our experience was disappointing. There is no parking to unload your luggage, and the location is difficult to find without repeatedly calling the host. The rooms had a terrible odor, and the bedsheets and duvet were dirty. We left right away and booked another hotel. There is no staff or porter to assist either.

Property was ok for our stay as we were looking the one close to the city. But i think they are unaware about the oline booking that makes difficulties for us. Initially they told no rooms available, after the arguments they provided one room.

If you are traveling with family, i would recommend avoiding booking this hotel. However, for single individuals or bachelors, it is cost-efficient, especially in the new building. Please note that the cleanliness of the bedsheets should be improved, and although the rooms are newly constructed, it resembles more of a newly built lodge, making it less suitable for families.

Hotel owner was very nice but make my trip done cheating with us taken 2 person extra charges and owner says no given by make my trip we have to pay extra charges again to owner not believe that make my trip can do like this

Near to market, spacious, washroom is clean and new, hotel is new. We enjoyed our stay. Staff is polite and good. Early morning we didn't get hot water. Overall stay was good. I would like to recommend to stay here.

Great place to stay because the person who owns this place is no less than an angel. I'm recommending malabar residency to everyone i know.

When you enter you will start getting the smell of chips. You just need to bare with that for a couple of minutes then when you entered your room you will see the lavishness of the room and its cleaned toilet. Here you will get 24 hrs hot water. If you are looking for something near to kumily bus stop then you must try this.

The description of the hotel is very misleading. The said amenities like swimming pool and private entrance are not there. Even the basic amenities such as wifi and cutlery are not there. The rooms are above the malabar chips store and there was a very stingy odour. The chimney of the store was present infront of the room's window. I want to raise this issue to mm t and i would never recommend this place to anyone
