Food was good. As it was remotely located so amenities are as of that only. Powercut in middle of night till morning. No backup

The hotel had no proper entrance. It is like a home at the back side of a building with no main entrance. The rooms are no hotel rooms but rooms of a house where the bed was placed opposite to two windows and tv faced the wall. The architecture is not proper. The good thing was the staff which provided us hot water on request when needed and also there was hot water geyser in washroom. The power is an issue and comes and goes frequently. Also tv signal was not there. The food was fine but there was no proper restaurant as such. Basically, if you are looking just to spend a night you will get a bed, quilts, blanket, warm water and clean washroom. But if you are looking for more than a night the place is not good as there is no view, no proper approach. Also the ration was lying at places outside the room, no proper organisation of things. Hotel staff was good though.

The rooms were clean. But that is the only pro. Cons- no heater or electric kettle in the room - heard that it is the common issue in lachen because transformers are not capable of taking heavy load and hence the usage is prohibited. However, without these facilities staying in near zero weather is close to impossible. Food is expensive - again common issue due to logistical difficulties priority is given to the buffet. Hence if you are ordering ala carte then you may have to wait for more than an hour.

Chillness inside the room is more than the outside temperature. Everything we touched was freezing when we checkin and had a difficult time surviving the cold and room heater was also not working properly which they provided at additional cost. Food is decent enough but only veg is available

One night stay on the way to gurudongmar

No proper power supply, poor hygiene and needs cleanliness, linens and quilt were not clean and worst part is the food quality was not at all good.

It's very good staying with very good staff behavior. I just thanks to this organization. I will stay again. As soon as possible. Thank magellan hotel and resorts.

People are very polite. Probably the best hotel in lachen according to view and services they provide. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Totally value for money

Perfect destination for a leisure holiday. Rooms were spacious with unbeatable view. It is a remote area so not much to look around. The hotel gives a tibetan vibe with its decoration. Staffs were really helpfull. Will love to visit again.

We loved everything about this renovated hotel. The rooms were clean, beds were extremely comfortable, view was amazing & food was delicious but most importantly, the staffs were amazing. Specially Mr. Sushanta, he was always everywhere making sure everyone was comfortable, had what they need and we're happy. Well done Magellan for employing such a remarkable staff member. Loved our one night stay and would definitely return if in this area. Highly recommend this hotel!

We had a stay here during our yearly trip. We received warm welcome from the staffs. Rooms were very clean and the interior was extremely beautiful. We got to know that the hotel recently got renovated, you can spare entire day sitting in balcony. Although this is a full veg hotel, the food was very delicious. And last but not the least staffs were very helpful and courteous. We recommend everyone to stay in this property if you are in lachen.

The room was below average with way above average view. You'll get electricity only for a few hours in the evening. For everything else, like the title says "can't complain much"

Life’s worst experience, i never see such type of hotel.

We were three girls .The room was clean and equipped with all the facilities .The hotel is on the Gurudongmar lake road .The place is good to be considered if you want to explore the local food and culture.Also,We felt safe staying there which is an important thing 😀

It does not worth the money which i have paid for it. It would have been great if the service, cleaniness and hygiene would have been maintained a bit more.
