Review Of KTDC Lake Palace

First would like to mention the location of the property. It is in middle of an island.Property is old but good .Neat and clean.If someone just want to spend time within nature then it will be ideal during evening there is nothing to do.Food is nice.Chef and other staff are very courteous. But the problem we have faced that is water from washroom. It was typically yellowish .They have provided us extra three bottle of mineral water.Thatsall.

We had a fantastic stay at KTDC Lake Palace, Thekkady. The location is truly unmatched – right in the middle of nature, offering serene views of the lake and forest. The staff were extremely courteous and went out of their way to make us comfortable, which made the experience even better. The only area that could be improved is the duration of the boating trips, which felt a little short, and the lack of activities at the property itself. A humble suggestion would be to introduce a guided trek up to the watchtower behind the property – it would add a wonderful dimension to the stay. Overall, it was a memorable and unique experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Thekkady.

The property lake palace Thekkady is good located on a island in deep forest . We saw many wild animals like elephant , dears , shambhar , wild boar , baisan and almost of them from our property lake palace . There is a boat ride in the forest area to see wild animals included in stay . Food is also included . It is an enjoyable trip but there is no connectivity of phone and internet . Food is also average . You are taken by a boat to lake palace from Ktdc property arnanya niwas where you report at reception . We stayed for two nights . There is no keep safari by forest deptt. Over all good holiday

Property located nicely inside forest. Good chance of animal sightings. Maintained not up to the expectation. No swimming pool.

Beautifully located in midst of the lake and forest. Journey to the resort by boat was enjoyable. Only suggestion that they should arrange for prompt ferrying of guest instead of making them wait. Also to the ferry landing, vehicle can be arranged specially for elderly guests.

This was the actual lake palace of the travancore royal family and still is maintained more or less like how it was originally built 100 years back. The ambience is the highlight of the place, cool and serene. Expect animal sightings on summer time when the water level is low. Food is homely and delicious

This was the place built by hh chithira thirunal balarama varma. The hotel still keeps the royal belongings, and couple of rooms out of the total six rooms are still maintained in the heritage way. Food is homely and good, animal sightings are seen usually in summer time. The ambience is calm and serene
