THE VIOLET THEKKADY

The rooms were in poor condition, with non-functional bathroom lights and a mosquito problem, which made the stay quite unpleasant. We considered leaving within an hour of checking in but decided to stay as we upgraded the Deluxe Cottage to the pool Cottage ourselves by paying extra bucks. Unfortunately, even that wasn’t worth the additional cost. The food was subpar, and with no nearby dining options, you have to travel approximately 5 km into town for lunch or dinner.

The property was just about ok and the food average.

This property offers Great view from the rooms. The staff is very cooperative. We had to check in late so they made sure to check before hand if we needed dinner. We placed the dinner order and time when we can have, and it was served in the room even though the restaurant time was over. The staff is very cooperative and the room has all the amenities you need. It's a must stay place

We chose room with pool. Room is good with great view and is maintained. But, pool is not temperature control even though jacuuzi is there, which is not good keeping outside temp. Washroom is clean but average looking. Boys are good with help but the food is below average, will 0/5 for food. Poor breakfast, no proper restraunt. Property is not maintained at all,

Had a pleasant stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was courteous, and the service was good. Overall, a great experience.

The stay and the view from where we were was absolutely amazing. It was calm, peaceful, and surrounded by mesmerizing natural beauty. The staff were really nice too the manager went out of his way to get us the best deals and even helped us plan our sightseeing. That made the trip so much smoother! As for the food, it was good not the very best we’ve had, but definitely not bad either. Overall, a wonderful experience. 💛

Decent rooms , worth for the price Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service

Room was clean but it’s very old property and there was no maintenance and price side also high not at all worth .Glass bridge way is like ruin hunt, finding the way is very difficult and also it’s not safe . There is no space to relax or walk and car parking also very much cramped space.Food was very horrible and it’s located in main road so road noise also more

The Violet Thekkady is located on the highway, in the hills about 6 KM from the Periyar Boating Point. Property is new, has most of the amenities and the in house restaurant was functional. Aradh is very good. Mr Sharath also suggested a few very good places nearby, which were like icing on the cake.

The location is Highlight, Service is good and the food is also very tasty awesome home food Experience.Jeep safari is Highlight chathuram view point and observed the movement of elephant moments. My kid enjoys the Mountain view room.

we had a great stay in the violet resort.. we stayed in a pool villa.. the pool was in private side so we enjoyed a lot.. the food was to good ... room service also too good... the receptionist was too kind.. all over the great stay...

Location is the highlight. Service is also too good. Booked a private pool villa and enjoyed jacuzzi experience very much. Views from the room balcony was breathtaking. Enjoyed jeep safari and seen chathuram view point and observed the movement of bison, deers on the top of the mountain. Saw tea estate, coffee estate, cardamom plantations. Visited idukki dam, hill view park, hanging bridge also in another sight seeing trip. Both sides view from the hanging bridge is so lovely. Though it was raining frequently we enjoyed the weather very much. Food service to the room is really appreciable. Overall splendid experience we had here.

The stay was great. The manager is super helpful. The rooms are spacious and have great view. Also the food is very good. Overall very good stay.

Clean rooms and toilets. Limited but tasty food. An excellent budget property by the main road.

The pool water was dirty. There were many insects in the room. The bathroom tap was broken. The property was unkempt and not maintained. The good thing was that the staff was helpful and supportive. The manager Sharad was a good person and helped us with many things. But overall the hotel management and maintenance was not very good.
