    Poorly Maintained Room, Lock System, and Unsatisfactory Service

    At first, we were allotted a room where the lock was not functioning properly. It could only be operated using a card, but the card system wasn’t working. When we informed the reception, staff members came to check and explained that there was an issue with the software and that only a master card could be used to open the door. Inside the room, housekeeping had not been done properly. We did not receive towels initially. Although the booking was clearly for two adults, there was only one towel, one soap, and one water bottle provided. When we asked for the missing items, the housekeeping staff said that only one set would be given. Since the door lock issue could not be fixed, we requested a change of room. We were then given a different room where the lock was functioning. However, the overall cleanliness was still disappointing. While the bed sheets appeared acceptable, they were not particularly clean. The wardrobes were dusty, and the bathroom was poorly maintained, giving the impression that the room hadn’t been cleaned or used for several weeks. Overall, it was a very poor and unsatisfactory experience.

    I stayed at Hotel Palmyra from 15th to 17th October. The room was good for the price range — clean and comfortable, including the bathroom. However, there were a few downsides: toiletries and mineral water were not provided, the TV wasn’t working, and housekeeping didn’t clean the room or change the bed sheet the next day. Overall, decent stay but service could be improved.

    The room condition and facilities were good, and the staff’s behaviour was also very nice. Cleanliness and overall service were satisfactory, and I could have easily rated it as excellent. However, towels and toiletries were not provided, even though they were mentioned in the booking. Only for this reason, I am rating it as good instead of excellent.

    Terrible rooms.

    Rooms were very unhygienic. The rooms were nothing like what was shown on the website. There were cockroaches in our rooms. There are moulds on every wall and it was very smelly. The room service staff also were very hostile and rude. After several reminders, they gave us a torn towel and a soap. We stayed only for two days but nobody turned up to clean the rooms. They said the breakfast was complimentary but still charged us extra. The only good thing was that the receptionist were kind and helpful .

    My check-in time was scheduled for 12 noon, but I arrived at 6 PM after informing the hotel staff in advance about my delayed arrival.
