I had a very unpleasant experience during my stay at Heritage Homestay. When I arrived, there were only two people managing the entire property, and only one person was present most of the time. There was no proper service and no food available, which was already disappointing.
The condition of the room made things even worse. As soon as I entered, I noticed tiny hair strands all over the bed, pillow, and bedsheet, which clearly showed that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The room felt dark and uninviting, almost as if someone had already stayed there before me.
The water bottles provided were not sealed mineral water bottles. Instead, they were old Coca-Cola and Pepsi bottles, scratched and reused, filled with what looked like tap water. I even noticed bubbles inside the bottles, which made me feel unsafe to drink them.
When I requested hot water, it didn’t work. The water pressure was very low, and the pipes were leaking, so taking a bath was a struggle. Overall, the basic facilities were completely lacking.
The most shocking part came during checkout. The owner asked me to give them a good review and even mentioned that they often ask customers to review from their own phones so that they can write it themselves. This felt very dishonest and manipulative. I refused the offer because I believe reviews should reflect genuine experiences, not paid or fake ones.
Overall, this was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The hygiene, facilities, and service were all below acceptable standards. I would not recommend Heritage Homestay to anyone who values cleanliness, honesty, and basic comfort
