Terrible Stay
The property was under construction we reached there at 02:00 am, location was not described so we called the hotel guy and delhi office too but they did not respond. We had to wait in the jungle with 65 year old mother and a 3 month old kid. In the car the whole night and in the morning 05:30 the hotel guy picks up the call and sends the location and when we reach the location the guy says the booking is not acceptable as we booked for 27-28. Althought the booking was made at 11:45 pm 27 th april. We had to strangle and kill the time in the car

Dear Guest, We regret that owing to an ill informed booking made by you late in the night at around 11.57 pm, on the day of your check in (whereas the latest check in as well communicated on our official website is 7 pm and and normal check in time of 12 noon mentioned on our OTA partner's portal as well) you tried to call our office or property past mid night which we regret we could not respond to since we have limited hours of operations (till 6.30 pm for our offices and 11 pm for our properties) and do not maintain a 24 hrs phone support centre. We regret that you misunderstood us to be a conventional city hotel while all the information about the nature of our property being an adventure resort located in the middle of serene wilderness with occasional limited phone network connectivity. As a matter of fact, which we were hopeful that you would appreciate, going out of the way, beyond working hours and without having a mandatory 24 hrs+ prior booking information (or any information at all) of your booking the property manager and the team offered you rooms to freshen up and rest, organised breakfast for you and assisted you with your check out along with complementary porter facility for your bags. We look forward to having you over with us again and would request you to please refer to all the information available online our official website and with our OTA partners, refer to the FAQ sheets provided, ask as many questions you like before hand in order to make a better informed choice when visiting our soft adventure and spiritual recreation retreat.

Beautiful resort right on the banks of river ganga
We came to know about this resort through instagram reels and we found it exactly the way it was show cased. Early morning and sunset from the patio were pure delight. We could directly walk into the river from the resort and take a refreshing dip in the holy waters which was wonderful the staff are very gentle and warm people food was made with so much personal care and according to our taste and preferences overall we had a great stay

Dear Guest, We are sorry that your stay with us was not entirely in sync with your expectations. Please be assured that this is not the experience we aspire to give to any of our guests. We also regret that you appear to have not referred to the comprehensive information including walk through videos showcased on our website clearly stating the nature of our property which is an active lifestyle resort located next to a river and surrounded by serene wilderness. The facts including parking on the main road, a short walk to reach our reception, complimentary services of very helpful porters for your baggage and more are both mentioned on our website plus well communicated if you had spoken with any of our guest relations managers after making your booking with the OTA. We are sorry incase an insect crawled inside your room when you may have left the river facing balcony door open, however we are also sure that a dedicated housekeeping staff would have helped you with clearing upon request. There are two large low emission power generators available at the property and we apologise incase it may have taken a minute or two for the power to resume after a power cut. There is 24hrs security staff available right next to the room block and a dedicated intercom support available between 6 am - 11 am. We are sorry if you could not get immediate assistance despite these facilities. Please be assured that we take all productive suggestions very seriously and have made the corrective measures wherever required. We look forward to having you over with us again and are sure you too will enjoy a great outdoors experience along with the warmth of our personalised hospitality that majority of our guests continue to enjoy and continue to come back for.
Not worth th price
Rooms were ok. But lack basic services. Not suitable for elderly people as there was no way to reach the property by car. You have walk to the proprtey which was around 1 km and route was also bad. Breakfast buffet has very limited options.

We are also sorry that you apparently could not get time to visit our website, go through the comprehensive details including car drop off point and the short pleasant walkway / hike of approximately seven to ten minutes (approximately 400 meters) to reach our reception nor speak with our very helpful guest relations team who would have guided you in making an informed decision, including us not being a conventional city hotel but an adventure resort, meal options and so on. Against the common perception of adventure resorts such as ours being suitable for young people only, we are pleased to share with you that hundreds of senior citizens have visited, walked down and up the pleasant, photogenic vintage suspension bridge to and fro our property and thoroughly enjoyed pleasant tete a ttête-à-tête with serene wilderness and pristine nature here. As mentioned above, while we do not discriminate our guests based on any factor including their age, had you contacted us in any way before or after making your booking through MMT we would have guided you in making an informed decision after understanding the age and physical abilities of the accompanying senior citizen and may have suggested you not to visit if we felt the lady or the gentleman with you may not have been fit to walk to the property. In any case, we thank you for visiting us and look forward to having you over with us again with your family and friends. Please feel free to reach out to us for any special requests and customisations.
Stay if you don't bother about parking, baby food & food timing
Pros : 1. There are a variety of birds, you can see. 2. You have a view of the mountain plus the river. Sunsets are beautiful. 3. The room is spacious and the balcony is big. 4. The staff is polite and helpful. 5. The restaurant decoration is unique and beautiful. 6. They even arranged stay for our driver. 7. Resturant tried to provide food for baby early. The reasons why i didn't like the resort: 1. There is no parking. 2. To reach the resort you have to walk through the slant thin road, foot over the bridge where sometimes you have to give space to scooters, rocky stairs then rocky path. 3. Their restaurant is very limited options plus service is not good. They won't serve dinner before 8:30, that too after several reminders. Price is on the higher side. 4. The path towards the river is very rocky there is no defined path by resort, there will be horses, cows and dogs. 5. Sitting space can be more in the garden, no lights in the play area for the evening. So post dark you have no option if all spaces are occupied just to timepass. No sitting arrangement to enjoy the birds since pointed sharp grass where it's hard to sit near mountain range. 6. Tv is old type. Ac & fan makes noise. Pillow covers can be improved there were holes. 7. You will find spiders in the bathroom and the hairs were there in drain. 8. No pepsi or alcoholic drinks other than nimbi pani, tea and coffee. Because the way to parking is difficult reaching the market and getting drinks n fruit is time consuming and tiring. So you adjust. 9. No wifi, mobile internet does not work in rooms and no signals for calls in some locations.

Today, Aranyam is known to be one of the best birding retreats in India with a wide variety of endemic and migratory species to observe and photograph all around the year. We are also very grateful you liked almost everything about the property including the accommodation, dining facilities, services and warm hospitality. Cons (as stated by you): 1. Yes indeed, we do not have a private parking and the cars can be parked at a safe spot by the low traffic roadside. It is a fact clearly stated on our website, FAQ & also well clarified to our guests when a booking directly from our website or incase of OTA/agent booking where the guest speaks with us, in order to help them make a better informed decision. 2. We regret the inconvenience you faced while crossing the footpath and the vintage bridge. 3. As a matter of fact we do not maintain or claim to have a restaurant at Aranyam. We have a multi utility dining area and a café’ owing to the nature of our location and property. Over 95% of our guests choose AP that is all meal plans since we are not a hotel but an adventure retreat. We are truly sorry that you could not get this information via the OTA when you made a booking with them. 4. As you would appreciate our entire property is well protected with secured boundary. We just like any property in the world including five stars, have little to no control over areas outside. The river & areas outside are property of the forest department. At the same time, your point is well taken & we have requested the nearby properties to follow strict eco code of conduct like we do and not to feed any stray cattle around their properties. 5. We are sorry that you could not enjoy a wide variety of adventure sports (available as add ons) including white water rafting, bungee, hiking, birding, rock climbing, rappelling, bridge slithering, safaris, temple visits, waterfall hikes, yoga & over a dozen more activities. We also regret that you could not enjoy a multitude of complimentary recreation available with us including volley ball, jungle cricket, basketball dunking, pool table, carrom, board games & more. Should you have asked our very helpful and courteous staff would have been very pleased to place chairs at a place of your choice – including right next of River Hyule! 6. We are sorry you experienced any of this. We wish you had requested the housekeeping staff for any replacement of linen & they would have done it gladly for you during the service hours. Thank you for your feedback on the duvet covers which may have seemed heavy due to their high thread count which adds to their premium quality and softness. We shall raise this with the vendor for sure and try to keep some other alternatives in stock for special requests such as yours. 7. We regret this & are sure the housekeeping staff was able to help you with this immediately. We shall take better, proactive care to avoid such odd cases. 8. We are sorry for not having a bar licence at our property, again a fact nowhere claimed by us as a facility available with us. As a highly law abiding property we are sorry but we do not sell any unauthorised items including alcohol at the property. We maintain a limited selection of soft beverages at the property including tea, coffee (hot/cold) & aerated beverages. For your next trip, we encourage you to speak with us at least 24hrs in advance (considering our exotic yet far from the town location) & share any dietary specifications, brand preferences for aerated drinks, so that we are better able to take care of your specific requirements. 9. We are happy to share that now we have a high speed connection at the property. This telecom infrastructure facility was not available in our entire region, just as still absent in a large non-urban part of the country. Last but not the least we are highly grateful for your kind words of appreciation on your overall enjoyable outdoors experience and offbeat holiday with us, which will go a long way motivating our team in continuing with their industry benchmark personalised hospitality. familyStaff is very good, well behaved and co operative. I give 10/10 to staff. There’s no parking, hv to park your car on the hill side road; reaching there is also difficult. You loose mobile connection five km before the destination. So many stairs, not suitable for elderly and small children

away from the city
The place was far away from the main rafting areas of rishikesh Proper sign boards should be put up so as to reach the property without delays . Overall the property is nice with the comforts of home .Food was huge i ally prepared and served well .

Yes, as stated on our websites Aranyam is located at an approximate distance of 15 kms from Tapovan Rishikesh, 18 kms from Rishikesh main town and about 26 kms from Shivpuri one of the starting points of white water rafting (which is 16 kms away from Rishikesh) and about 7 kms from Phoolchatti which is another white water rafting starting point around Rishikesh. Your point on placing more hoardings is well taken and we shall try to install some in the near future. In the meantime, we encourage you to use google maps or speak with our property manager for directions and best assistance, just as followed by a majority of our guests, while choosing to visit us next. soloThe balcony view, room cleanliness, room size is perfect. Hospitality is also appreciable sply head person there named ram ji, humble and attentive guy. Just the approach is that you have to cross the river, in case it's flooded then you cannot reach your hotel. It is worth the stay mostly because it has balcony where you can sit, have your morning tea, enjoy the mountains, the sounds of water and the cool breeze all giving it a perfect stay.

Worst experience ever. Had a life threatening situation!
Location of resort is pathetic and very dangerous. There is no contingency plan setup by resort owners even though there is a real situation of water overflowing from all sides of the resort and there was no way to get out. At a point, we felt that it would get swept away and lost all hope. Most astonishing thing was resort manager and owner didn’t listen and conveyed incorrect information to local authorities that all tourists are safe, where we all had a life threatening situation, we were stuck! all outer area on the ground floor area was swept away! and manager said its safe? was he waiting for the flood water to come to our room? please dont go there. It was only because of local staff and local authorities help that we could come back home alive.

The cloud burst that occurred in the region last year did not only affect us but hundreds of resorts, campsites and hotels in the entire region. While we completely understand your emotions as you may have felt at that point of time, we are hopeful that you appreciate the complete support and cooperation provided to you by the property manager and the entire team keeping your safety on the highest priority. As professionals we always keep multiple contingency plans and protocols to follow especially being an adventure tourism company and operating in areas closer to nature. While no one can ever predict the impact of unforeseen natural disasters anywhere in the world, there was no damage to the building structures and as witnessed by you the flash flood did sweep away a part of one of our grounds and the main entrance. The authorities were always in touch with us, kept well informed and assisted by our team to ensure your safe and responsible evacuation once the situation was a little under control. In all this while, we are sure you would appreciate that the team took care of your boarding lodging to the best of their abilities, without creating a panic situation, and without any commercial intent. In any case, we are sorry that you along with us witnessed the wrath of nature in the region last year. We hope such situations do not repeat in the future and Mother Nature is kind to all of us. We wish you well.
Excellent location, calm and peaceful
Excellent location, calm and peaceful, by the river bank. Lot of new birds. So good for bird watching. Good hygienic food. Decent activities in the premises. Do ask the staff to take you on a nearby trek. Resort staff are very helpful.

Parking woes & late meal timings
The property doesn't have a reserved parking space. You will have to park on the road. During monsoon it becomes risky because big rocks can slide down the hill and hit your car. A rock just fell on the road 100 m away; luckily no one was around. Moreover, moving traffic can hit your car because of blind turns on the hill. Their meal timings are late 8. 30 am onward s breakfast is served and 8. 30 pm onward s dinner. We and a couple of other guests had to wait for the food to be ready. Food is good though. Room was not clean. There were spider webs in the furniture.

Being in the middle of wilderness and having a river front, incase a balcony door is left opened for any reason there may have been an odd case of an insect getting inside your room, however we are sure that the on duty housekeeping staff must have helped clearing and cleaning the areas upon request. As about the lack of private parking, we are sorry but it is a factor beyond our control owing to the nature of our location which is across a river. The best we can do is well communicate this fact on our website, in walkthrough videos on our official channels, state in the FAQ sheet showcased on our website and provided to our guests (including those booking via an OTA or a travel agent and not directly) when requested or when they speak with us before visiting. We encourage you to help us help you by speaking with our guest relations team beforehand when you plan to come over for your next adventure holiday with us. Thank you once again for choosing us.

Wonderful experience
familyWe had a wonderful stay at aranyam. The food was good, staff was very helpful, courteous and prompt. The rooms are well maintained. The location is good too. Only caution: you have to walk for 300 to 400 mtrs from the road to reach the property and vice a versa. This walk can be challenging for for people who have difficulty in climbing stairs, inclines and declines.

familyHost are very welcoming and accomodating. They customised tasty food for my lil one, as per our needs. Well maintained and b'ful property. Given one star less only for my personal preference for the location. Otherwise nothing to complain about if you want to stay near the river stream. Will definitely come back, when the rush on the neelkanth road approcahing to this property is little less.
