Things to Do in Hyderabad

  • Deccan Festival

Celebrating the spirit of Hyderabad city, this festival sees the best of art and literature. Managed and promoted by the department of Andhra Pradesh Tourism, it is a five-day long festival. Every year in the month of February, the Deccan festival witnesses the scintillating Ghazals, Mushairas and Qawwali performers showcasing their talent. It is not just poetry and dance which will mesmerise you but city’s local crafts and special cuisine too will tempt you to attend the festival.

Make sure you buy colourful bangles and beautiful pearl ornaments from the fair inside the festival.

  • LaserMaxx

A utopia for gaming fanatics, LaserMaxx is a high-end run-and-gun gaming arena. It is a combat area where one can play the game of Laser Tag that involves physical alertness and skills. The rules of the game are pretty simple, easily understandable for even a beginner. The game is actually a 12-minute mission and up to 12 people can take part at a time. This arcade is exceptional - giving visitors an opportunity to experience pure adrenaline rush.

Visitors are provided with a completely harmless laser gun and a sturdy vest with a target to be shot at, pre-installed speakers and a blinking light. The participants are divided into two teams and allotted base stations, which they have to protect from their opponents. They also have to target their opponents and hit them on the vest while preventing themselves from getting hit. Once the laser from the opponent’s gun strikes the target on the vest, it vibrates. The speakers also convey the message that one has been hit and the lights blink for some time. The shooting gun ensures 100% accuracy till a range of 35 metres. Once the mission is completed, each individual gets a scorecard showing his/her performance.

For travellers coming to Hyderabad, LaserMaxx is a place worth visiting as it offers an experience that cannot be enjoyed elsewhere in the city.
