Best time to visit Singapore

Being a tropical country, Singapore is generally hot and humid all year round which accordingly determines the theme of Singapore tourism. Located in Southeast Asia, the island state is thronged by tourists all throughout the year. There isn’t a specific time for Singapore Travel but there are certain events and holidays which cause it to be flooded with tourists from all across the world. The high heat and humidity makes the weather fairly consistent with wet winter and a slightly drier summer.

Summer (July to September): This is the festive season in Singapore, which makes it a very favorable time for Singapore travel. Earmarked by the Singapore food festival and the Great Singapore Sale, these months showcase the cultural plethora of Singapore.

Spring (February to April): These months have pleasant weather, making it a fairly good time for Singapore sightseeing.

Winter (November-January): These wet winter months have their own beauty and attraction.

The holiday dates of Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and the Chinese New Year, are the busiest days in the year for Singapore travel, as many tourists visit Singapore, making the airlines and hotel prices soar.

Things to do to taste the vibrant nightlife in Singapore!

The highlight of Singapore tourism is the night life of the city. Here are a few things to do in Singapore without which your journey is incomplete.

Sip on a Singapore Sling

Singapore is known for its cocktail scene! It is replete with unique creations by some of the top-rate mixologists. The very famous Singapore Sling is a revamp of the classic cocktail which is a medley of gin, cherry brandy, Dom Benedictine, Grenadine, Cointreau, mellowed with lime and pineapple juice.  Served in a highball glass garnished with pineapple and cherry, it is known for enticing the taste buds!

Nutmeg & Clove’s Barrel Aged Singapura Sling, designed by the Taiwanese bartender Kae Yin, is a spiced hibiscus-infused Tanqueray London Dry gin with Cherry Heering, a definite must-try! When in Singapore, don’t forget to taste the Benedictine DOM, which is a mix of goji & red date syrup, orange cream citrate and Old Time Aromatic bitters in a wooden cask. Served out of a porcelain cup, perched on a rattan rickshaw, its serving style adds up to its authenticity!

Double or nothing: Gamble in the Marina Bay Sands

The Casino at Marina Bay Sands is perfectly perched on one of the most iconic structures. An oasis of chic, the Marina Bay is a place of the future. Dotted with bars along the waters and a few out in the roof, Marina Bay Sands is quite a sight at night!  The Casino here is a huge gambling space spread over 4 levels. There are over 600 table games and 1,500 slots. There is a fine dining experience glamorously decorated with one of the world’s largest Swarovski crystal chandeliers! The Marina Bay Sands is billed as one of the world’s most expensive casino properties.
Just a mere drink in one of the rooftop bars such as the SkyPark, with a view of the Singapore night skyline with the lights overlooking the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool, is a must-have experience when in Singapore!

Party away on Singapore’s highest point

When in Singapore, the taste of the alluring nightlife isn’t complete without a trip to the highest bar in the city! Located at quite a height, the triangular outdoors bar has a magnificent view of the city, especially the city lights at night. Crafted with glass walls and a furnished wooden floor, there are lounging cabana beds, a lowered dance floor in the centre and palm trees in the vicinity. A resident DJ belts out some classy numbers, while some unusual drinks are served. This rooftop bar is not just altitude but attitude!

Go Bar hopping at Clark Quay

The party hub of Singapore, Clarke Quay is known for its nightlife, earmarked by dazzling lights and music blaring kaleidoscope of night-clubs, pubs and bars along the Singapore River. Post sunset, there is a heightened indulgence of themes and attractions which make bar-hopping along the area quite a trippy experience! Of all the bars in Singapore, Clarke Quay has some of the best in the business!  The Bar Cocoon, Bamboo Bar, the Forbidden City, Bar Opiume at the Empress Place along the river, and Attica for an after-hours rave deserve special mention!

Hang out with the hippies!

A slice of the city’s spiritual haven is quite an experience. The heart of the city’s little hippy community is Going Om, a place of giant pillows and wall paintings decorating the venue. Inspired by Nepalese culture, replete with an outdoor seating. The place is known for its night life attracting a diverse crowd, with fire twirlers, dancers, acoustic musicians, crowding along the hip haji lane.

The night life of Singapore is one of the best in the world. A key aspect of Singapore tourism, tracing the colours of the night will add glamour to your experience of Singapore.
