JetLite is one of the very few airlines that have an interesting history of mergers and takeovers. The airline, former Air Sahara, was based in the commercial capital of India, Mumbai and offered flights to metropolitan centres. It was also engaged in providing helicopters for charter service and aerial photography. However, in 2007, the takeover of Air Sahara by Jet Airways was completed and was renamed as JetLite. In 2012, the airline merged with JetKonnect brand (a subsidiary of Jet Airways) and presently, does business under this brand.
Operating under the JetKonnect brand, JetLite offers cheap flights to numerous cities across India, along with efficient ground and on-board services. Besides, the airline boasts of well-trained and courteous staff that takes care of varied needs of travellers, from the point of booking the ticket to deboarding the aircraft.
