About Mysore Palace History

Mysore Palace was the royal residence of the Wadiyar dynasty. They ruled Mysore for 500 years. Although the palace was originally built in the 14th century, it has been destroyed and reconstructed multiple times. The current structure was built between 1897 to 1912 after the old Palace burnt down.
