Built in 1906, the Cellular Jail was a remote prison used by the British to exile Indian political prisoners. Now open as a National Memorial for the public, it features exhibits displaying the grave torture that prisoners used to go through. Also referred to as “Kala Pani Jail”, the place gives visitors a peek into the country’s history. The ground floor features a Freedom Fighters Photo and Exhibition Gallery, whereas the first floor has an Art gallery and Netaji gallery. The jail is also known for its Light and Sound Show on India's freedom struggle. Do note that the museum remains closed for visitors on Mondays.

Ross Island

Located 2 km away from Port Blair, Ross Island is famous for its scenic beauty and ruins of British era buildings.
