I recently stayed at WoodyWoodz, and overall, it was a decent experience. The rooms were very clean, especially the bathrooms, which were well-maintained and hygienic — definitely a plus point. The property is surrounded by coffee plantations, giving it a nice natural vibe.
However, since it’s located about 9 km from Madikeri, you don’t get to enjoy the scenic mountain views or misty clouds that Coorg is known for. The surroundings are peaceful but not particularly scenic.
I felt was not great value for money. While the facilities are good, the pricing seemed quite steep for what’s offered.
The breakfast was enjoyable — they served poori and sagu, along with bread, butter, jam, and omelettes. The pooris were hot and fresh, which was a nice touch. The property also has Wi-Fi, which is very helpful since there’s no mobile signal in the area.
Overall, a comfortable but slightly overpriced stay. Good for cleanliness and peace, but not ideal if you’re looking for Coorg’s scenic charm or value-based pricing.
