State Beach Resort & Spa

I would like to say about the review of this resort on my experience, Ambience wise is very excellent. Room - Very small , washroom - Not good after bath , Tv - not working condition on checking & later got serviced, Room service - after 10 pm ‘0’ clock no-one will respond on landline, Bed sheets are not well cleaned, Room cleaning is very poor.

Only the location is good. The food was pretty bad. Not worth spending 6k.

Except beach view everything was pathetic

The location of the property is good and the whole sea view is awesome but the room was not worth the price we paid. There was a foul smell throughout the property. There were stains all around the room

There was no hot water. Reception said they will send someone to fix it. but they never send any one

Generally looks a bit run down. Needs maintenance n upkeep. Restaurant service can be better. Staff are good n polite

For the same price, we have better resorts on the beach. Whatever outdoor area shown on the pics is not ready yet or damaged. No welcome drink, no complimentary water bottle. And chai they r charging like in 5 star resort. Bed condition is very poor. It is spring mattress. Take care of your spine. Couldn’t sleep at all. I don’t recommend this to anyone.

value for money. beautiful sea view. Arabian sea roaring 40 feet below your feet. smiling staff. interesting boards of wisdom & with everywhere

Excellent Location. Great view of the Arabian Sea. Good Themed landscape. Rooms cramped with too many furniture. Breakfast buffet Good, but A la Carte too costly. Should be more affordable.

Location was the only advantage in this property. Staff at counter was very helping, but apart from that everything was average or somewhat below average. Like for example breakfast buffet had open fruits and it had lot of flies, tea was cold, food quality & variety was average. Also housekeeping staff had only one person who was cleaning washroom and with same hands , he was changing water and tea glasses. There was no focus on hygiene. Room was also overstuffed with lot of furniture. In totality, with respect to room tarrif, it was a costly overall.

Location is good but food, amenities, services were very poor. Rooms were stinking. Wash Room is too small and stinky too. Photos shared on MMT and reality don’t match. Photos are taken from such angles that it creates illusion of spaciousness

Not a pleasant experience. Not well maintained. Untidy rooms which even lacked basic amenities like hot water. Unclean washrooms and wash basins near restaurant.Poor service. Very limited food options. The quality of food though was very good and so is the stunning sea view!

Wonderful stay but rooms are compact even deluxe rooms felt compact resort location is awesome there are no amenities, breakfast spread is not much staff is courtageous

Nice view and Good place to stay. Food is good but little expensive. Less options for the vegetarian people. Near to payyabalam beach. The staff is good and friendly.

The food is good, but the service is terrible, and the cost varies greatly. Room ar very old

State Beach House is a good place to stay and visit especially considering its location and views. The property is located on a cliff overlooking the sea and has amazing uninterrupted views of it. Overall location is also amazing with the main Payyambalam beach and good eateries all within a km from the property. The suite too was wonderful, spacious and well maintained with good cleaning and upkeep everyday. Where the property can improve is in good choices and especially the breakfast spread. All items in the breakfast were cold and not so fresh. If they can improve that it would be an ideal choice.

The rooms are very small for the price range and images shown in MMT! Frequent power cuts made stay miserable with combination of humid and extremely cold air within the room as AC was automatically tuned to 16 degrees! Restroom faucet was working like aerospace jet engine almost tearing the skin and cleanliness is not up to the standards! Only positive feedback is their restaurant staff who are very polite and always helpful in nature!

Property's food was really good. The best part was it's location which was very close to beach. They had clean rooms and bathrooms. They have arranged breakfast from morning 8 to 10 which was buffet system. They even had facilities such has Wifi and hot water facilities. The staff was very cooperative and good. I highly recommend this stay.

Poor service and also the reception gor guest is not welcoming

Location is great but rest every thing is average or below. Room was not cleaned properly before handing over. No cups were there for making tea or coffee on first day. Hot water was not working for first two days. They supplied hot water in bucket. Breakfast was just average. Toaster does not work. Other than the location rest everything was disappointing. Won't recommend anyone else.
