Excellent arrangements - the duplex rooms were spacious and neat; so were the attached bathrooms. The landlady was very courteous, and the food was homely and very tasty. I and my family enjoyed it thoroughly. The cottage is off the main roads and is in a residential area. Hence there are no shops nearby; but it hardly matters, as all the cottages in Coorg are placed similarly, I presume.

Location is good ... And the hotel and rooms are better than expected and the manager was helpful in arranging cab and everything. It has a terrace which is very useful for night party ... Over all It was a good value for money.

The hotel is extremely good for a short or long stay with family. Tall and green coconut and betelnut trees were a treat to our eyes and soul. The staff was very courteous and took very good care of us. My family would thank the chef for the timely and sumptuous meal they served morning and evening. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Parampara.

Stayed there for 2 nights, had basic amenities like Fridge, Electric pan, Oven, Dining table, Geyser, towels, Queen sized bed. Breakfast was served on time as well. Situated in a quiet place. They even allowed us to stay over the check-out time. Overall very good experience.

I had been here with my family to have a relaxed stay and new year enjoyment. They said they have indoor games and night there would be bonfire and DJ. The place is still not completely developed. There are constructions happening still. Their rooms are spacious but the TV wasn't working. Their food was average. Staff was good and hospitable. But, their service was very late and time taking. Lot of communication problems between themselves and they don't speak Kannada being in Karnataka. And English communication also not understandable. They did light the bonfire at night but hardly we found any people around to enjoy and just played some Tamil and Telugu songs which we could hardly understand and expected us to enjoy DJ. Next day morning we again had to repeatedly remind them for hot water and later they came back saying that there is a problem with hot water system and pipe has blasted at night etc.. They supplied hot water in buckets after we insisted and this was really not expected as a service for a payment they had taken worth 20k per night. Without basic amenities which even a normal hotel provides, being a resort and keeping just the peak season as a reason they had just looted us for our money. I would seriously request them to improve their resort and the quality of their services. Rest all fine. Hope this review will be helpful for others who have planned their visit to Coorg.

Good Location, decent food but rooms are a putt off with rubber wood interiors and violet walls. The wall adjoining the bathroom was damp and the geyser had a problem. Also when one approaches the resort in the night, there is no security at the road entrance (only once you drive into the estate do you see another gate with security). Didn't think it was worth the price we paid for

Staff was not helpful and also the food in the restaurant was not good. Even for early check-in I had to pay additional amount. Overall location was okay and the facilities which are listed was not available. WiFi was not working.

I stayed at Amanvana resort with my wife for 5 nights and 6 days; this is a long enough duration to assess the overall quality of stay at any hotel. I travel a decent bit and almost always stay at four or five star hotels, so I know very well what to expect from such places. At the outset, I will say that the experience at Amanvana was disappointing and I'm definitely not going back there. However, in our opinion there were three aspects that we enjoyed a lot at Amanvana: (I) the river trek, (ii) the various treatments that were offered at the spa, and, (iii) the overall landscaping and lush greenery in and around the resort. Moreover, the staff were extremely courteous and prompt with whatever requests we made. The biggest disappointment was the sole restaurant at the resort rainbow room. In total, we had 13 meals there, which is long enough to judge the quality of service and food. It was almost always in chaos and disarray (we could also often hear loud noises coming from the kitchen, as if people were fighting and arguing inside). The breakfast buffets were mediocre at best. The only silver lining in the lunch and dinner buffets were the "Coorgi" dishes, which both of us enjoyed. The north Indian dishes were almost always below average. Whenever we ordered dishes a-la-carte, something went seriously wrong. In one instance, the pieces of meat on the non-veg platter were so hard and inedible, that I had to ask for the manager and chef. The chef inadvertently admitted that he knew the pieces were hard (as a result of "ice", implying that they were being deep frozen after marinating), but served them nevertheless. Over the course of our stay there, they quite often took more than an hour to bring out the food (the restaurant wasn't crowded), ended up bringing the wrong dish and even served a "fresh lime soda" to my wife with four long strands of human hair and eyelashes floating in it. Unfortunately, given the rather isolated nature of the resort, we had no option but to continue eating there (thankfully, we were able to venture out on one of the days and go to Taj Madikeri for lunch). It also appeared that the maintenance of the bungalows is not a priority at the resort. There was some sort of electrical problem at our bungalow (#107) for the first 2 days (in fact the cover of the electrical panel was just hanging loose). Some of the lamps in our bungalow were flickering like disco lights and functioning as per their whims. There were similar problems with the electrical outlets. It was only after our *fifth* complaint during the course of two days that they finally took it seriously and fixed the problem, instead of just resolving the problem at the outset. Many of the "banana-leaf" shades at the bungalow were damp and had large stains from likely previous instances of getting wet. The resort manager came to speak to us only on the fifth day of our stay (he wasn't aware of any of our complaints) and seemed surprised to hear about some of our experiences. Despite having paid a nightly tariff of more than 11, 000 rupees, the experience was awful. Needless to say, we are not going to recommend Amanvana to our relatives, friends or colleagues.

Very old constructed rooms. Old type of facilities. Old TV, not working properly. Food is not that great. Bathrooms are very small. Telephones are not working. It doesn't worth even 1/4 of the money which I have paid.

Staff behavior not good. Room service not up to the mark. Service boys do not respond most of the time on calling. Room sizes too small. Location was perfect and very close to the city main attraction. Hotel should improve on the room services and behavior of the reception staff.

We stayed there for two nights and I paid for amount Rs. 9000/ day. I am dissappoint with his morning breakfast. They gave only one item(samiya uppma). I didn't expect. That was a my bad experience. Even normal hotel giving morning breakfast minimum 15 to 30 menu@ rate of Rs. 4500/- to Rs. 6000/-

The approach road to the hotel is a little bumpy. Once you reach the lobby you get a feeling the ride was worth it. We took a superior charm room. The room is as good as it looks in the photos. The bathroom has a bathtub, separate shower and separate water closet. The fireplace is a separate room too. And that room connects to the deluxe room. It's closed unless you have booked the deluxe room too. There are nice activities to keep you engaged, they include nature walks, zip line & cycling tour. The breakfast buffet is absolutely great and you should take it along with the room. Hotel staff is absolutely polite and smiling. Do note that they work quite long. And yet keep smiling. We took the cycling tour and the route goes outside the property to a beautiful lake.
