Review Of Westend Hotel

we stayed for 3 nights and 4 days with breakfast and one big meal. the drluxe garden facing rooms are simple and small: enough for family of 3 with a verandah with table and chairs outside each room. the outdoor is very refreshing with lots of greenery. facilities are good and clean: swiming pool, games area, etc. the food on all days was very good. breakfast involved lots of veg items and egg omlette. 2 non veg items for each big meal. lots of greenery and monkeys in the resort was good. location is good.. about 1 km walking from matheran station and also walking distance from a few points and lake. so it was away from crowded market but still accessible. it is easy to get horse rides from here. also most people know the place.. just incase you loose your way trekking. the roos are self sufficient with all basic amenities I.e. TV, fridge, kettle, toiletries, and daily refill for snacks. overall a complete value for money stay at the off peak rates that we got it for.. Will surely visit again

Location is close to railway station, food is excellent and service is top class. Property is vast.

Westend is good property. Breakfast is also good. Lot of trees within the property. Swimming pool is average. Resort management need to more active on cleanup of Swimming pool.

Nice place for stay, but food taste not matched with North Indian, Good in hygiene, and simple, Located in nice pace

Wonderful food, Good location, fast service. Only issue was non working TV. Cottages are small so just about enough for a couple, not a third child. Other rooms are larger. Pool is well maintained. Staff is responsive and helpful. There can be more events on days like Diwali for improvement

3rd stay with the same hotel. Rooms :- 7/10 Property Upkeep:- 9/10 Ambiance:- 8/10 Service:- 5/10.

it's quite a walk from Matheran station. stay was okayish. it's also a bit far from market area. no food stalls or restaurants right next to the hotel. also their inhouse kitchen starts by 8 and shuts by 10. breakfast wasn't good.

this place is good really good food was also good little bit long but is worth it staff is friendly

Staff would s like they haven't seen any in years, at one instance one of the staff our ladies from family while swimming and informed the management but no action was taken and temporarily the guy was asked to leave the premises. About hotel, bedsheets were stinky, Food taste was pathetic.. food items were included just to increase the variety and the cost , vadapav on a regular stall tastes better than the food here.. if they served 10 items, 2-3 were edible taste wise and that's how we had the meal. We booked half kg cake which costed double the price and looked pathetic

I had a wonderful stay! The property is in a great location with easy access, the food was delicious, and the facilities were very well maintained. The staff was polite and supportive, which made the overall experience even better. Would definitely recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The property is good, relaxing and enjoying all the scenes, restaurant and room service is available like any 4 star hotels. However, TV in the room was not working they were unable to resolve as it was raining heavily, so fine as we did not want much of cable tv there. Hot water geyser operational during morning time, but not available full day, no issues as weather was cold so did not want to bath. Rest all good only recommended property should convert small DJ room to Ganes room with carrom and chess etc. 4 of 5 star

My recent stay at West End Hotel was a delightful retreat into nature. The property exudes charm with its serene surroundings and well-maintained ambiance. The food was genuinely satisfying, and the staff’s courteous behavior added a personal touch that made the experience feel homely and welcoming. A small area of improvement would be the washroom facilities, which didn’t quite match the otherwise high standards of the property. With a little attention there, the overall experience could be truly seamless. Still, the warmth of the place and the people made it a memorable stay. Would love to return once the washrooms are upgraded

Location is really nice and in nature. Ambience of hotel is really good, especially in monsoon. Dont miss foggy morning. Rooms were clean and room service was good enough. We had breakfast which was tasty and hygiene.

⭐ 1 Star All travellers please think multiple times before availing service from this Hotel... Our stay at Westend Hotel, Matheran (6th September 2025) never even began because of misleading and incomplete information. The hotel failed to inform us that: It can only be accessed by a long horse ride (₹700 per person). Luggage requires separate transport via coolies (₹3,000). Guests may face unofficial tolls from locals en route. After driving 4+ hours from Mumbai, we had no choice but to turn back in the middle of heavy rains. This caused stress, wasted time, extra expenses, and deep disappointment. Such critical details should be disclosed upfront during booking. The lack of transparency feels like deliberate misrepresentation. We urge the hotel to correct this immediately so future guests are not harassed the same way.

Room size mention online is not accurate. room was very small then mention in online. when I asked at reception then they told that balcony area also included in room . room was too small. bathroom was very bad. there was huge problem of MONKEYS. Hotel has not even guided that be carefull from monkeys. when we wake up in morning then 8 to 10 monkeys were sitted just outside our room and continucelly knocking our room . it was scary also. hotel not covered balcony , when in evening we sitted in balcony then we kept a stick with us to keep away monkey from us.

The stay was comfortable. The rooms are decent but walls were less painted and very old styled. The ambience was very much okay. Outside the rooms, the garden, greenery was nice and highly maintained. Food was super yum , hygienic and mouth watering. The stay was superb, staff was cooperative, prices are reasonable. Nothing more can ask for. Thank you Westend for providing me with a beautiful stay. I would love to stay there whenever I go there.

The hotel is very good. Enjoyed the stay. Food was great. They had yellow lights in the room which did not feel that good. Apart from that the dinner and stay experience was great.
