Saubhagya Cottage

I had read all the negative comments about this hotel before booking, but honestly, my budget was low… still, I must say the hotel felt just like home — so comfy, you’ll feel like you’re in your own bedroom. If you face any difficulty finding it, just ask anyone for “Datta Shinde’s cottage”(railway track ke near ek green color ka cottange hai vaha se jo gali jati hai undar vaha undar jao and first left leke uske aage vala then undar hi vo cottage hai ) — everyone knows it. It’s only about 5 minutes from the railway track. The first time we went, we went around in circles 😅 but it’s actually very close — not even 5 minutes away! And yes, the only issue is that the water flow is a bit slow, but apart from that, hygiene is perfect. (Frankly, we didn’t go there to enjoy the stay — we went to enjoy the view. Our mantra is simple: if you want to enjoy the stay, book a fancy hotel; but if you just want to enjoy the view, don’t waste money on expensive stays!)

Cottage was not maintained properly & service is not good

It's budget cottage which full-fill the all basic requirements. Owners are very cooperative and friendly. They helped us a lot during our stay at saubhagya cottage.

Location was very conjugated. So many hotels or rooms were around. And the amount which we paid was 1500+ and room which we got was not at all worth. Even i called the property owner and updated him about check in will be late and requested him for late check out though i had mentioned it already on make-my trip app while booking, but he did not agreed to it. We checked in on sat 9/04 around 2 pm and checked out on sun-day 10/04 at 10: am. Did not liked the booking which was made. Room did not even have water to drink. No plates or glasses too.

Need proper address with proper landmark because there is no mobile network in matheran & name board should be their.

Tariff is very high according to room size and facilities. Television was not working. For hot water we had to pay extra money.

Dear mmt 1st of all room change. Which i book room is different and i stayed in different. Tv wasn't working. No wifi. So please don't fool people like this. Home caretaker was good and freindly. I loved that service.

According tovthe rate price of room the hotel was not exact to the point. There was no guide or a single soap in bathroom.

The location is ok but the room is not clean. We were told to switch room due to toilet issue but then they allotwd the room to someone else. And the room they gave us was very bad. It had cockroach and bugs. Toilet was not clean. We left the room early just so that we don't have to stay in that room for longer.

No geyser in the room but there is no supply of hot water too on request of guests. It's really very irritating. There's no caretaker service who will cater to your requests like water or towel etc. Owner is not responsible for anything.

Good place, budget hotel for single travellers

Service was excellent. Tv wifi all working. Recommended family and couple. Special thunks satish and mmt.

It was a good experience. Hotel rooms were spacious. Only problem were the mosquitoes.

Location is in very far from market and it is located between houses and no scenic view or anything washrooms are horrible and are indian style. No hot water available and no food available

saubhagya cottege located main raily stion.stay was nice.food and breakfast was yummy.it was silent cottege.tv, wifi.all working...co-operative staff.recommended family and Couple.

Me and my wife went for matheran and booked this cottage seeing mm t assurance. However when we reached experience was not at all satisfactory. 1. It was very difficult to locate this cottage. 2. This room is very close to public toilet. 3. There was no one to help us out in the cottage. 4. No hot water arrangements. 5. Toilet was untidy and flap of comode was broken. 6. No privacy in the room as there was just glass seperator was not satisfactory providing privacy. Seeing all this we just halt there around 30 mins and shifted to another cottage. There was no option in mm t for cancellations.

Very ordinary hotel. Veey basic facilities, not like what's mentioned. You needed to ask for even simple amenities. Not informed about solo traveller new rule in matheran. Not recommended.
