Review Of The Essar Cottage | Rooms in a Homestay

The ambience and care taken by the care takers was very good. We have taken 2 bedrooms with 1 hall (full cottage) which was a very nice experience. Enjoyed a lot

The cottage and the rooms were neat and comfortable. The restrooms were neat and both the caretaker and cook were extremely helpful and friendly. They attended to all needs in a timely manner. They had a parking space for one car and if extra it had to be parked outside on the street. The road/path to the cottage is very narrow but the location has a nice view and peaceful. They charge very less for the home cooked meals and it is worth the value. We did face a hinderance of tap leakage but it was attended to very swiftly. Overall the cottage is a suitable option for a group of friends whom are looking for budget friendly stay options in ooty.

Hotel place is good, you can reach near by ooty places like railway stations, doddabetta, botanical garden, wax museum in very short time. Rooms are ok to stay. Opt for food such as breakfast, lunch or dinner at hotel, it is chargeable. Chef, room service boy is very good. They prepares food very delicious, tasty and according to your requirements. We all enjoyed lot foods at hotel. Location of photo taken at distance. From wax garden t is good to watch. Do-dds betta place is near by place to hotel. Hotel caretaker and chef are very good hospitality is nice.

Nice and decent home stay. Good for family. Geyser is there for all time hot water. Look is also good.

Our stay was quiteok, due to the amount of care by care taker. Rest room accessories were not good, but it was managed with help of care taker. Management is not inspecting and investing on durable accessories. In short, your experience is based on care takers efforts.

Hey we stayed 3 nights in essar cottage, ooty. We expected that the room would be cleaned everyday but it wasn't which was very unsatisfactory. Also, regarding privacy, we didn't find it satisfactory. The room we stayed in wasn't soundproof. We weren't even provided with towels or separate dustbins. We had to use the dustbin placed in the common area. Parking space wasn't enough. We had parked our car inside the gate the first night and we had to wait half an hour to take it out the next morning because there were other vehicles parked infront of our car. The last night we stayed, there was no parking space at all inside and we parked it on the road, which we didn't feel was safe because the road leading up to the cottage is sloppy and narrow so we had to take a risk and park our car outside. All in all, our stay in essar cottage wasn't upto the mark. Thank you.

Rooms are very small & not cleaned

No service at all. Location very much off the way. There eas only one person acting as cook, eaiter& caretaker. , manager

The homestay was clean and well maintained. The host was courteous enough to bring us hot water on request for drinking. There was hot water in the shower all the time. The beds were comfortable and clean. It was just 2-3 mins off the main road. Overall it was a pleasant experience to stay for us.

We were 4 of us, the property was perfect with two rooms both had attached bathrooms and common dining area and small place with sofa overall a nice stay we are definitely coming back
