We had a very disappointing experience at Olive Residency, Calicut. We specifically booked an AC room, but upon arrival, we were informed that all AC rooms were already occupied. The receptionist told us that since we booked late, our room was given to early-arriving guests, which is completely unacceptable. If a booking is confirmed, the hotel should honor it, regardless of the arrival time.
Instead of the AC room we paid for, we have to stay in a non-AC room, which was uncomfortable. To make up for this, they offered a ₹300 refund the next morning, but this does not justify the inconvenience caused. A hotel should manage its reservations professionally and ensure that guests receive the rooms they booked.
