Review Of Munjoh Ocean Resort

We booked 2 rooms for our family which included kids. Although the initial impression of the resort was good but we were very disappointed with the restaurant food and services. The quality was bad and so was the service time, primarily because of low occupancy and not having a running kitchen and a part time chef There was also an issue with water pressure in washrooms being too low. Property manager Kumar was prompt in addressing these issues. The regular chef was brought in and there was a remarkable improvement in quality and taste. We were also offered a room upgrade. The property itself is nice and full of greenery. it has a rather different and positive vibe than other properties. Spacious rooms and washrooms. Kids spent lot of time just roaming around in the natural surroundings. Beach access was quite nice. Infact this part of the beach was even better than Radha nagar beach. Part of the beach attached to resort is covered with trees and offers good shade. Restaurant doesn't have a bar too if you are looking for one. They also do not have a common swimming pool but we didn't miss it much given the beach was very flat and calm so kids enjoyed more there.

We had an excellent family stay at Munjoh. The staff was really courteous very helpful. The food was very nice. The buffet spread was really good. It is very nicely located on the beach with a very beautiful beach and lush greenery. There is a rivelet which passes through the resort. Lush Greenery & beautifully decorated resort. The team lead by Ravi & Kumar Satyam made sure we had a memorable stay, taking care of finest of details. Definitely gonna visit again.

The best property to stay at! The rooms, the exteriors and interiors, the hygiene and specially the food- its amazing!!! Satyam is a perfect manager and alex is so sweet! The staff is super sweet and kind and the chef has magic in his hand!

Myself and my wife booked Munjoh ocean resort for our Honeymoon. It was a last minute decision but it was the best decision of our life. The property manager took extra care of us and made sure our stay was perfect. The rooms were well kept and clean. They provided a variety of food and taste was exceptional. The best part was the private access to the beach (apparently one of the very few properties with private beach access at Havelock) where we had a candle light dinner. My wife just loved it. We booked a pool suite where we had a nice private place to have food and relax which opens to a bigger pool. The surroundings are full of greenery so we could enjoy our stay amidst natural beauty. Would love to come again for our wedding anniversary :)

Room was good food was good but they are highly understaffed they don't have enough people to serve us after paying a good money service was not at all satisfactory 1) checkin was done by untrained person no idea of identity 2) lunch ordered and it took 2 hrs to serve we had to leave our sit and look for people where is food and then went to kitchen to find out its one chef and one staff who takes care of other guests also so for even drinking water we have to find jug and glass 3)in night after asking for extra pillow and blanket they didn't sent it for 20 min then i have to go to reception and search ad finally a security person gave me blanket and i asked where are the rest he said there is personalised dinner for one couple arranged on beach so all are occupied there this arrangements is at the cost of rest of guest 4) check out they were not able to give me company bill till i pushed and i was getting late for ferry there are many more such experience where we felt we were not served to what we paid

I visited with my family, service was very good, a very comfortable stay, had the beach on one side and the pool on the other. I will definitely visit again

We stayed at munjoh for 02 days. We booked it because sea shell was sold out at that point of time. It was looking good in the photos, but in reality, it's an old property, and they are not maintaining it properly. Their pest control is also pathetic. Their were lizard, spiders and mosquitoes in the room and around property as well. Food was also very average. However, one good thing about this property is that it has a beach at a walking distance, but this is not something unique as most of the good properties at havelock have beaches at walking distance.

The location of the property is excellent. The staffs are courteous as well. They have maintained the property extremely well. The shacks on the beach add a different flavour to the location. The only issue is the food. The food is excessively overpriced and the taste is quite average. The options are extremely limited and the breakfast buffet doesn't have a lot of options either.

I was promised a buffet dinner and breakfast which didn’t occur. I had to order from restaurant menu for dinner and breakfast (free) but nit the buffet. Very poor internet connectivity.

Munjoh was the worst property I’ve ever booked. The water provided in the room came in a dirty jar, and the poolside room was filthy and foul-smelling. The food was terrible, with minimal options, and the staff was unprofessional and rude. Despite their claims, there was no proper bar. Breakfast was never ready on time, and when we asked for coffee, the staff told us to make it ourselves—even though there was no milk. Service was abysmal. Multiple calls during checkout went unanswered, and we waited over an hour with no staff in sight. Aside from their beach, there’s nothing noteworthy about it. The room was full of mosquitoes, the TV didn’t work, the lighting was poor, and their so-called “suites” didn’t live up to the name. They never followed up on payment for the food we ordered, and even when we tried to contact them, there was no response. During checkout, no staff was present to assist with our luggage—only a gardener greeted us with a “Good morning.” No one else seemed to care about our stay.

Munjoh is beautiful, with a great view! huge trees and the prettiest beach! the staff is awesome, they really go out of their way to look after you. I would recommend this place to anyone going to havelock.

Original room booked not give. Room are very bad condition. Washroom have no exoust. All washrooms smell come in room. Hotel promise gala night at 31 december but they are not orgnise. All guest are very disappointed by hotel

Munjoh's room services are pathetic. Sometimes you have to wait 4-5 hours for normal room services. Food options are almost nil for vegetarians.

Very expensive, not worth the price. Don’t spoil your holiday by booking this resort. We stayed in ocean suit room still it was so bad.

This resort has got the most beautiful private beach. The staff is very courteous and helpful and the restaurant serves delicious food.

The property, which was marketed as a "luxury" accommodation, fell short in several areas, and i believe it did not meet the standards typically associated with luxury hotels. Below are the specific issues i encountered during my stay: 1. *overall ambiance of the room: the furnishings were outdated, sanitary and plumbing fixtures were old, broken and stained. The furniture was rusted, old and lacked cleaning. There were spider webs in the bedside lamps. The rugs were dirty. 2. *substandard quality of towels and tea kits: the towels provided were worn out, rough, and of very low quality, stained which was disappointing for a property that claims to offer luxury amenities. 3. *lack of proper wardrobe and absence of locker/safe: there was no proper wardrobe to store clothes, and there was no locker or safe to secure personal valuables, which is a basic expectation at luxury properties. 4. *absence of in-house refrigerator: 5. *dirty and torn linen: the bed linen was not clean and was torn at many areas which was both disappointing and repelling. Clean linen is a basic expectation and should never be overlooked in any accommodation. 6. *no laundry bag or in-house laundry service: 7. *lack of functional bar: the property did not have a functional bar 8. *no spa/wellness center: the listing mentioned a spa or wellness center, but this facility was unavailable during my stay, further contributing to the disparity between the advertised amenities and the actual experience. 9. The beach area had some seatings but no lighting for the evening and night. It was very scary to sit in dark. 10. No beach side restaurant which could have added to the ambiance 11. Plenty of mosquitoes in the bathroom and room, probably no fogging done. 12. Gardens were not manicured, they were shabby, looked like a jungle with improper lighting. 13. There was an artificial lake in the resort, the water was stagnant, dirty probably the reason of breeding of mosquitoes. 14. No ac in the restaurant or lobby, difficult to sit in the afternoon for lunch. 15. Poor quality food, hardly ate anything in breakfast. 16. No swimming pool to relax if you are paying so much to stay 17. Poor quality toiletries and bathrooms - bathrooms were far below the standards, dirty, stained, poor sanitary fixtures, low quality curtains. It was like a lodge bathroom. 18. The room curtains were small in size, was not even covering the entire windows of the bedroom, making us uncomfortable to sit. The quality of the fabrics was substandard. I am surprised how can a luxury property be kept like this. All in one, it looked like a lodge rather than a resort. They later on upgrade our room from luxury villa to lagoon but things were same except some added furnitures. Very disappointed In light of these issues, i feel that this property does not meet the standards expected of a luxury hotel, not value for money, highly overpriced for its service and does not accurately reflect its listing.

The private beach is something else- it is the best beach holiday of my life. Kind people, well run place and so much detailing in every room and corner. This property is built with love and you can see it every where. Kudos to the management and for taking such good care of us. Thankyou !
