Hi thank you for your kind words and taking time to review! NH work is going from Kochi to Munnar! As a developing country we feel happy about it at a small cost. We serve food from our home selection with advance notice for dinner. Lunch usually every one goes out as a day tour. If someone wants to have a large variety in a multi cuisine restaurant of course there are restaurants available in 15 minutes distance 4-5 km. Bird watching is an early morning activity and trekking there are self guided trails plenty near bye. We certainly recommend connecting with us for more details. Thank you.... team Mistletoe Homestay

Hi Srisnivas, It is indeed a great joy to read heart warming words from a bird lover, in fact on a clear sunny morning one can spot approax couple of dozen species of birds sitting in the balcony enjoying a cup of coffee... if you step out side to river side of near bye plantation you can spot few other species including an Asian Fairy blue bird ... in and around Mistletoe we have identified about 90 species in the season. Beautiful homestay with one of the best views in munnar, host & his family are wonderful people, loved the food, wished to stay there again. The homestay also has an amazing art collections.

There are about 70 plus original works of 8 various artists from Kerala who have exhibited... and 99% of the works were created during an artists camp conducted at Mistletoe Homestay. Clean and affordable stay with great views
Clean rooms and bathrooms for decent price. The balcony was a plus and had great views. Breakfast was also good and freshly prepared.

Excellent Stay
If u want a serene quiet stay will all the basic needs; mistletoe is the place. Located in the valley; a beautiful ambience - outside as well as inside. And the hosts are very noble and friendly.

Great hospitality
coupleMistletoe is one of the best homestay experience i ever had (i had plenty around the world) it is a family managed small setup, host joe and his family members are excellent host. Rooms have beautiful mountain view and home made food served are prepared fresh using mostly homegrown vegetables and fruits. Would love to visit again

It's more than a homestay
This homestay is managed by a family. Hospitality was excellent. Children were very helpful. Food is cooked by the family members and it was awesome. Excellent view from the balcony.

Pleasant but could have been better
Will start my review with the biggest positive of this homestay is the delicious home made food cooked by the owner (joey) himself, will give 9. 5/10 for food. When it comes to location & specially view from balcony, have stayed in much better views at almost half of the price of this place. If you travel-ling as bachelors, unfortunately there is nothing much to do inside the property, couples might enjoy it a little more. And non veg is also not allowed inside the room.

Thank you especially for your appreciation of food and services; I am sure there are several places in Kerala and India with fantastic views and congrats that you had that opportunity to visit such locations! For bachelores, Munnar as a destination offers lot of nature activities to engage in, I am not sure what you meant by ... night time engagements... perhaps such as pubs or DJ parties or clubs. In our busy city life we see lot of chaos, noise and over simulations ... it is indeed a blessing to have destinations like Munnar where we can still see a stary night sky, a symphony of bird songs to wake you up, and cool evenings where fire flies dance to the tune of cicadas and you could see that all from the balcony of the rooms. It is still a beautiful world isn't it? Thanks buddy Looking forward to see you for another romantic trip to Munnar! Cheers ... Joe
Excellent homestay
It’s a great place to stay. It was the best experience staying there. Location is very beautiful with hill view. This place is very well maintained. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the host. Staff was extremely friendly. Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience i would highly recommend this place and i would definitely want to come back to this place again.

Excellent Stay
coupleOur stay at mistletoe was beyond wonderful, we didn't want the vacation to end and now we can't wait to go back again. There are a few key differentiators of this property: 1. Location - it's located away from the bustling munnar city which provides a beautiful calm but it's close enough from all the main attractions. The location is just perfect with views to die for. 2. Food - what's a great vacation without great local food! the limited menu at mistletoe highlights the local cuisine and jeena cooks lip-smacking delicacies. We didn't have to eat out at all because the food was soul satisfying. We also ordered a home baked cake and it was delicious. On second thoughts, i should have asked for a few more cakes to bring back to friends and family. 3. Hospitality - the family is very warm and helpful. Joe helped us in picking food options from the menu, arranging a taxi for local sightseeing and also sourced authentic spices and tea to bring back home. His two boys are the most well behaved kids and add to the charm of the place. I have been recommending this place to friends and family already. We will definitely visit munnar again and this time we will not have to plan anything because our stay, food and everything else is already sorted. Thanks joe, jeena, t&n, granny for one of the best vacations we have had in recent times.

Nice place
A perfect choice to stay during covid times. A spacious and well ventilated place without the crowds you associate with a resort. Good and most importantly, tasty and healthy food with many fresh ingredients from the plants and trees growing in the property. Rooms have a nice view and if you are interested, just stand in the balcony and start shooting - plenty of birds for the photography enthusiast.
