Average Stay at Mayfair Waves*
I recently stayed at Mayfair Waves for 2 nights, and unfortunately, my experience was just average. While the property has its strengths, there were some significant shortcomings that detracted from my overall stay.
The room initially assigned to us had pigeon poop all over the balcony, which was unacceptable. However, the staff was responsive, and we were shifted to a different room upon request.
The bigger letdown was the food. Given Mayfair's reputation, I expected a certain standard, but the buffet offerings were repetitive and uninspired. Both breakfast and dinner had the same dishes on both days, which got boring quickly. What's more, it seemed like leftover dinner food was used in breakfast without much creativity. For instance, leftover vegetables were stuffed into parathas without any effort to disguise the dish. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing.
On the plus side, the pool area was lovely, and the staff's hospitality was warm and welcoming. However, these positives were overshadowed by the subpar food quality.
Overall, while Mayfair Waves has potential, it needs to up its game in terms of food quality and presentation to match its brand standards.
