Review Of Houseboat Jigar Palace

Location: very far - good n bad in a way. Structure- good. Room is good but ceiling needs to be addressed. External dining hall is below average. Surrounding is good. Good peaceful stay.

Awesome place to spend quality time away from busy side of dal lake. Home cooked food with all amenities.

Absolutely horrendous and so insecure. I really want my money back. So rude and argumentative. We were stranded and the houseboat workers weren’t helping at all. We were stuck in the houseboat and missed our gondola because of it.

* jigar palace house boat is nearer to ghani no 14 * the location of this houseboat on google map is incorrect * it is situated very far from open dal lake or ghat * the view is also not good since there are a lot of dead lotus plants surrounding. * electricity is not available throughout the day hence they switch on the air conditioner ( heater) after 9 or 10 pm.

Houseboat was a good and new property well maintained but it’s location was very deserted and u need to pay extra 800 for each too and fro

No service no one is taking care of anything very unhygienic very bad services, i booked 3 rooms in whole houseboat i am the only one guest but they don’t have anyone to attend no water bottle available for drinking and no cleanliness around houseboat food quality was so bad can’t explain worst experience

As is very unclean area, full of mosquitoes, no arrangement for fan and ac, very far from clean lake area, its totally a fraud. Food is very pathetic

I am very dissatisfied with the house boat. The house boat name was “Jigar Palace” and they took us to some Dundoo houseboat. The bathroom was so bad that I can’t explain. The door do not get locked. Carpet was stinky and the food was horrible. Overall I can’t say anything that I can say it was okay. Due to loadshedding the power turned off for 2 hrs in night. There were mosquitoes. Most importantly the bathroom was very bad and dirty. I would have attached pictures.

New houseboat, washrooms were clean, right in the middle of dal lake, view was awesome. Only drawback was that dinner was not included in our package and they charged 700 per head for buffet with very limited choice.

Houseboat is well maintained, they even provided complimentary heating. Our host was very kind and co-operative. However there’s nothing much to do here. We reqched but early around 2 or 3 pm and got bored. Food is below average considering the charges they take. Also the lake newrby is not clean and doesn’t even feel like a lake. Overall average experience.

Houseboat is away from main hustle of Dal Lake which is very good in terms if you are staying for a relaxing holiday. Staff is very good, well maintained rooms. Food was great too. One can enjoy great sunset sipping tea in the open deck area.

The palce was nice and surrounded by Lotus garden. next to it are the snow mountains 😍. though it is a long shikara ride to the boat but totally worth it.

It was a pleasant stay. Staff (Bashir Bhai Jaan and his helper chotu) is good and helpful. This house boat is located at the back of the Dal Lake but you will not miss the view because the boat himself has a his beauty.

Pros : clean and pretty rooms, good hospitality, hot water in bathroom and hand wash area is available in the morning. Cons: the houseboat is bit far from ghat, and little isolated from other house boats, we were initially nervous, but the stay was comfortable. Wi-fi is available, but internet wasn’t working, so better keep your data packs intact. The rooms are pretty warm, heaters can be provided at extra cost, which will keep you warmer, but the staff doesn’t turn it on over night, so choose accordingly (although they turned it again in morning for sometime again when requested)

Cleanliness: very poor, the matress and blanket were dirty. Food: breakfast was not at all tasty and worth it water and hygiene was poor facilities: no hot water supply both for drinking and bathing. Expected the bigger houseboat / rooms but got the smaller one.

Saban is perfect serving food and veer y good treet wit her. But houseboat is very deep place such a scary place

All staff of house boat are very well behaved specially basir bhai who provide all help which we have required and make our stay perfect thanks basir bhai
