The KTDC Samudra is at an excellent location by the beach side. The beach is very clean, calm and beautiful.Breakfast also very good. But the cleanliness of surrounding of the resorts need to be improved.

The stay was decent but nothing exceptional. While it is budget-friendly, the quality does not fully justify the price. With better attention from the management, the overall experience could be significantly improved.

Food - We had breakfast included in stay, it was good enough with mix of south indian, north indian and english breakfast Location - Its very close to one of the beach, but you may not be allowed to go in this beach due to high tide warnings Facilities - They have a wonderful pool with 4 feet to 7 feet height, we have enjoyed it. Cleanliness - Well maintained, If there is any functions then it may be bit over crowded.

The stay at KTDC Samudra was really comfortable. They have very courteous staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. The view is the USP of the hotel. Its amazing, one can spend hours in its lush green garden area, watching the sea. Ten out of ten for the view. The food is decent. It lack variety in terms of breakfast menu.

Hotel located near to a beach and gives a panoramic view of the coastline.Good food and friendly staff.

the stay was good, the sea view is good and you will have direct access to samudra beach and all. I liked the view, it's awesome for me. Food is okiesh for veg. One thing which irritated me a lot is the cab booking. I am from kerala and I know the price like a reasonable amount but not exact amount when a cab/auto is booked. There is a taxi stand outside this resort which doesn't allow uber or ola guys. If we book a auto/cab from this taxi stand, they gonna charge double or triple. This being government resort, something should have been done already about this matter. if you own a car or consider taking it for rent, then stay and travel from resort will be good. the stay was good, the sea view is good and you will have direct access to samudra beach and all. Beautifully maintained landscape and property. The rooms are good too. The staff is cordial. The food wasn't the best and many staff don't understand English. Not a big deal but the main issue was the air conditioning which kept the floor slightly moist all day/night. Apparently ordering uber isn't allowed in the area as the local cabs insist on hiring them as per their rates @1000 to railway station (12-13km)

The location is perfect. The staff is absolutely pleasant and are always willing to help. The restaurant is also nice and serves some of the best food in Kovalam.

Superb view from the room. Tasty breakfast with so many options and varieties. Beach access is good. Well maintained.

The only positive was the location and food. The check-in process took 10 minutes and once we were inside the room, there was no water in tap including bathroom and frequent electricity cuts. After calling 3 or 4 times came to know there was some connection issues and finally the water that came was all muddy till the time we checkout.Children needed tv connection which was not working too. Finally just an hour before checkout tv technician came and was not able to restore the connection. Since the rates per night for the hotel are high, the expectations are also high. But basics like water, tv connection, room cleanliness is a must and must be monitored by staff which never was the case.

Amazing sea view. Great experience and good staff. Good swimming pool and ita a short walk from the beach. Includes a private beach too.

Location is excellent. Sea View from room is very good. Staff is polite. We stayed there for 1 night and enjoyed the stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Samudra KTDC in the premium pool view room. The location is absolutely stunning—situated right next to the beach, it offers not only a serene poolside view but also breathtaking sights of the sea. Waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying the sea breeze from the balcony was a truly refreshing experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The housekeeping staff did a great job of keeping everything tidy and fresh. The hotel staff overall were courteous, friendly, and always ready to assist with a warm smile, which added a personal touch to the stay. Hygiene and cleanliness were consistently maintained across the property, including the lobby, dining area, and common spaces. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful ambiance of the hotel and felt safe throughout my visit. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, offering a delightful mix of local Kerala cuisine along with popular Indian dishes. Overall, my stay was a perfect combination of comfort, great service, and natural beauty. I would highly recommend Hotel Samudra KTDC to anyone seeking a relaxing, scenic, and memorable beachside vacation.

Room was very good and so was ambience in the hotel property. Location was too good and close proximity to the kovalam beach. Balcony views from the room were pleasant and so was the lawn available in the property. But the biggest minus was the food and the restaurant. Less we talk more the better. Also wifi connection was not too great and was slow. Swimming Pool was not well maintained and lot of flies in the pool so we did not even allow kids to swim.

The location is top class but facilities is very poor and service is very low . Facility need a revamp to match with the expectations . I was surprised to learn that a coffee is prohibited after 1030 pm. In the present situation, I will not come back to this resort
